  • If you or someone you know has had or has cervical cancer tell them about jos trust. Its a support organisation for women and there family members. They hold conferences all over the country and invite experts to give talks. There is a forum where women can go to support each other. Jos is a registered charity providing imformation on treatments and giving women access to medical professionals. Of course you would have to visit the site to see the other help and imformation on offfer.
Iv met some of the women and they are insprational . The get togethers are not all about sitting through the imformative stuff. On the two Iv been to with my friend we have gone out for meals and some have gone clubbing. People have made really good friends.

Hi there i been coming to this site for a while now and having a read around and i have read a few post some say what the illness is some say that thay care for a loved one,
Me myself suffer from Fibromyaliga i have had this for some 7 years now but the worse thing is my husband has had ME/Fibromyaliga or both as thay say its called alsorts of things they are now calling it for nearly 17 years,
i cared for him all this time as a wife would, we also both have a load of other stuff like Thyroid (me) and for poor hubby he is now Dieabetic but he is NOT obsesst, now life in our house can be fun we tend to bounce of each other i help him he helps me we get there in the end we also have a saying we have to do it because we dont want anyone doing it for us:) we are not going to give into this illness,
And there are loads of people who think its not a true illness as all but all in the mind (i iwish) then i say to them tell you what you can have my thoughts for a day then we will see)
Anyway what i would like to ask is what is the illness you have to care for sorry if i have put it the wrong way but i guess you will work out what i asking like i`m going to end this post

I also am wondering how many of us when we go to see the doctor now come out with something else to add to our ever growing list of aliments now i also wonder how many of us have the things that go together i. e Fibromyalgia also have Thyroid now i been suffering for ages now with feet problems and now i have something new to put on that list its called Metatarsalgia its very painful indeed ( Metatarsalgia is a general name given to pain in the front part of your foot under the heads of your metatarsal bones. This is the area on the sole of your foot, just before the toes. It is sometimes called the ball of your foot. Metatarsalgia can be caused by a number of different conditions affecting the foot. It is really a symptom of other problems rather than a specific disease itself.) 12 weeks ago i found out i now need B12 injection every 12 weeks for life. and quite a high Cholesterol 7.4 oh dear good god whats next Diabetes well i know about that because hubby is already that. well sorry that's my rant over with thanks for the repiles looking forward to reading the next lot

I work full time, but also care for my mum who has diabetes, ms, epilepsy, minor heart murmur & has had 3 strokes as well as stays in ICU. I myself have developed depression from this (it all got worse when I was at secondary school) & I had to grow up very fast, Its quite heart-breaking, to go from seeing an independant woman cooking, cleaning etc to bnot able to feed herself.

I live in the south east & am 21.
  • I have MS (for 18 years now) controlled by Betaferon injections, I also have ITP (Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura) both in remission..............work full time and have a wicked sense of humour (I find that helps me a lot :))
    I live in Scotland and I'm 43.
