Thats right, I feel that something isn't right so am fishing to see why and what! I refused the £200 o/d when they offered me account - they are saying this could be the problem LOL. God knows.

By the way, I don't earn loads I work loads! What I earn pays mortgage quicker that's all. I'm not flash nor rich, I wish!!! I was simply making the point that it's not like i'm a scroat with no dollar to pay for my goodtime! lol

If there was something wrong with your account they wouldn't let you log into On-Line banking. Don't worry.

Yea I guess, and also wouldn't be polite to me on phone and give me a cheque card either I guess lol. Maybe it's just a fault then and will get sorted, but 3mth is only like 5wk away so no big deal. Just wanted to see what the screen would look like - not the actual overdraft!

    Thanks again mate appreciate it.

CG Cards are standard with HSBC Plus accounts I believe. If you didn't score highly enough to have a CG Card, you wouldn't have got a HSBC Plus account. While you have a large amount of money going through the account each month, maybe it's because you're new and they haven't seen a regular income go in yet (3-6 months). Either way, you can ring the number above and apply for an overdraft or ask why it wont let you online.

That is incorrect. I used to have HSBC Plus but don't have a CG with my HSBC PLUS card!! Besides i use HSBC as my secondary account.

Anyone who have a current HSBC account can have HSBC plus if they are willing to pay £12.95 a month. There is no such thing as criteria to reflect your status with HSBC. It's all marketing bull*hit -seriously!!!

BUT I assume you also mean that just because you get a Plus account you're not guaranteed to get the cheque guarantee facility then? So as I have the chq card does this mean in effect that i'm not seen as a huge risk (i.e. my behaviour score was between 40-49?) or am I barking up the wrong tree?

Well I got the CG Card with my HSBC Plus account and my credit score is 'Bad'. I'm 18 so have had no previous credit history and have 7 searches on my record, yet HSBC still gave me the Plus account with CG Card, so they must be lenient?

They seem to be, I know someone who has two defaults and got one with a cheque guarantee.
