Thanks for link :j
That is OUTRAGEOUS!!!
You should be doing something about it and not just giving up until 6 years are up. You should contact the lenders concerned who supplied the data to Equifax and dispute this directly with them. 25 defaults/CCJ's is very very very bad. I can give you more help and advice on this.
I believe HSBC now credit search ALL three credit reference agencies for loans, credit cards and mortgage. They only credit search Experian for current accounts. Thats what ive been told by one of the staff at the branch.0 -

Thanks for the support! If I go to each lender then they may start to chase me for the debt lol, so its a catch 22. I dont need credit so to be honest it aint a big deal, but it is kinda bad! I am quite laid back if you hadn't noticed lol, the wife says the same (complain, sue em etc etc) hahaI believe HSBC now credit search ALL three credit reference agencies for loans, credit cards and mortgage. Yea i've herd similar, in that all banks only search Experian for bank accounts and use the smaller two (Equifax/CallCredit) for additional lending such as limit increases/credit cards etcSome say he is a racist, others say he is a liar but the truth will always prevail...

For me they searched Experian only for the loan. Experian and CallCredit for the credit card and Experian only for the credit card increase. They've never searched me on Equifax.0 -

Ahh so maybe HSBC don't use Equifax then??
Although, no can't be true cos I have the search on my Equifax actually...... Unless they use Equifax if and when they cannot get enough info on you from Experian? :eek:Some say he is a racist, others say he is a liar but the truth will always prevail...

Just thought i'd update the post. My overdraft screen has now changed! I went in today and noticed it now says "amend overdraft" and when I clicked into this is stated I now have a £200 o/d which seems to fixed everything! Yipee....
Bank emailed to say all forms for 2nd account are in post, its an advantage (??) account so i'll go and read what that is - dont want to pay another £12.95 per month if I don't have to.....
Thanks for everyones input - without seeing your screen-prints i'd never have sorted this out. When I emailed a copy of them to the bank they were gobsmacked that we customers actually discuss such things! lolSome say he is a racist, others say he is a liar but the truth will always prevail...

I'm not! I just wanted to get the same screen as everyone else had - mine was different..... I explained this earlier and you responded lol.
Its all fixed now though, I guess it was all to do with the fact I refused an o/d at account opening which if you do that you cannot apply for anything for 6 months. It blocks you. I needed a 2nd account, no chance. Now the o/d thing sorted I got it...
Thats about the jist of it, according to my branch. Some say he is a racist, others say he is a liar but the truth will always prevail...

milfordmadness wrote: »Free HSBC Plus Number: 01226261010
Er this isnt the dedicated plus number, its the geographic HSBC general number, its on the back of all my switch cards etc
I have 3 current accounts with them (two joint with my husband and one of my own) and only 1 is a plus account (my personal one) but I have used that number with all 3 accounts and my savings and my credit card accounts
they work out you are a plus customer when you put your account number and sort code in to the telephone banking system...0
