Its not that kind of id theft! Basically someone with same name as me and the cra (equishyte) have incorrectly linked me! There is 31 accounts on it, 25 defaults/ccj's and total debt is over £100k... LOL Its as bad as it gets I guess.

Experian have removed the link but equifax are adamant its me even though i sent letter from council tax and ex landlords who happen to be halifax Property - not like a mate or anything but still equifax say it is me!!!!

I was led to believe that HSBC primarily use Experian, maybe thats why they gave me an account? Funnily enough two of the accounts on the linked address are to HSBC so they must know it isn't me! Madness....

Please send link - also, Plus customers get dedicated UK call centres. Never speak to injuns! I am bad like that, I pay in £££'s, speak english and bank in england so want a ruddy english person on the phone when I ring LOL

Jeeeez! :eek: Have you resolved it with Equifax? Obviously you must have if you got a new hsbc account.

Read above post ( #92) - NO! Equifax refuse to budge - they say it is me! Even though ive sent proof..... its a nightmare! Just glad no bugga chasing me LOL :j

I think when you have the Plus account as I do, you get put through to British call centres. I've never had to speak to anyone in India.

Do you ring the Plus dedicated number or the regular 08457 404 404?

I used to have PLUS, not any more! I am on current advance account. Maybe im wrong that HSBC do not outsource call centres to India.

So whats going to happen now? You should get Equifax to remove the adverse data ASAP....because it will affect you credit applications in the near future if it is not cleared up.

Ive tried, they will not budge. Other than suing them (costs a bomb) I just have to wait 6yrs and hope it 'drops off'.... as I said, NIGHTMARE!!!!
