Love them? You might be able to get it resewn at the shoe repairers if you have one by you?
But first of all, I'd phone Lakeland as the customer service is very good.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

Thank you!
I phoned Lakeland & it turns out I got my dates wrong, the trolley is 11 months old. They are sending me out a replacement. The trolley is £5 more expensive than the one I have so I paid the difference & they are delivering it free of charge. I was offered a full refund but was happy to pay the £5 to get a new trolley
Now to see if I can still do something with the old one, the frame is fine so it's just the bag that needs repairing or replacing.

I am thinking of using a shopping trolley (also known as granny trolley) to do my weekly shop in. Now i am on my own i find the bags to heavy to carry and it seems a shame to use my car for such short trips to the shop of under a mile just because i cant carry the bags.
I do feel alittle embarressed about the thought of using one as i am in my thirty's. So i thought i'd ask do any other younger people on the forum use a shopping trolley? am i feeling embarressed for nothing?
I am currently starting to use the supermarkets more as carrying the bags home from the local butcher/greengrocer is to much and their is no parking. The supermarkets are more expensive and quality lower.
I like to use my car as little as possible, even more so now the cost of petrol is rising so high. A shopping trolley seems to be the answer if i can pluck up the courage. What are your thoughts?0 -
I would go for it.
When my daughter was small (and I was in my 20's) I had a trolley and sports bag that I put on top to do my shopping and it made things so much easier. I admit it was still supermarket shopping but it also meant I did more walking!!!
I cant really do it anymore as I dont live close enough to the shops so always need my car. I try to limit the number of journeys to the shop now.

I know exactly how you feel because I was the same 20 years ago. Believe me using one makes life so much easier. Don't be put off by the old granny type ones,( square check material). My daughter bought me a rather trendy bright purple "Rolla" one a few years ago. Think she got it in Debenhams.0

Love them? When our car was damaged (and had to give the hire car back) I was relying on foot/buses to go any distance, and bought one. It was handy, though when empty it was victim to the strong winds we had up here lol! I am in my mid 30's and DS, who is 4, also liked it!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Love them?Go for it - I've been using mine since I was 21! My hubby is often more of a hindrence when doing the supermarket shop, so I prefer to go myself and wheel my bits home in my trolley. Plus (as you'll see on the other thread that Pink linked to) there's loads of funky designs now!

They are more popular than they used to be.
Mine is the collapse flat kind .
You can get heaps in them and use them for heavy library books too.
I have a little trolley also which you can strap any bag to, that is very handy as it can fit in a back pack and be taken out after I get through the check out ,and the back pack strapped to it. The larger , being collapsible is able to actually ride in the cart when it is empty or I dispense with the cart and just use the shopping trolley on its own in places like Lidl.0 -
15 years ago in my early 30s, I developed ME which caused me to lose my driving licence, so i had to get a trolly. At the time, there wasnt the great choice you can get today, and I simply couldnt face a tarten granny one, so i went for a sort of ironic approach, and bought a Miss marple style wicker trolly.
I still use it for the school run sometimes, its off-the-wallness appeals, but mostly for conventience these days , I use one of those square boxy crate trolleys that pack away, you can pick them up for a tenner, as it folds and fits into the panniers of my electric bike.
If you need one, go for it, if you need something to make your life easier, then do it. Took me a long time to learn that lesson, which I had sooner.0
