Our wedding day! 13/06/150 -
Hi,
for what its worth, I've been using one for years.
It is a modern, abstract, design.
No one has ever given me a second look with it.
Though I probably look a bit daft with how high my heels are,
tripping along with a trolley full of fruit and veg.
Let us know how you get on xx0 -
Love them?Appears to be the 'in' thing for the local yummy mummy,s - go for itNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!
£300/£1300 -
I certainly wouldn't be embarrassed about using one. I would say tho', that where I live they are the favourite "tool" of young female shoplifters. Just in case you attract any suspicious looks from retail staff!!!0

Definately get one, nothing to be embarrassed about
When I asked for suggestions for a name for mine the best answer was "Offyer" :rotfl:0 -
Trendy young London chicks started using them at least a decade ago in an "ironic" way and now lots of people use them. Even me. I'm not a youngster but invested a tenner in one with some Christmas gift-money given to me a couple of years ago. The best tenner of someone else's money I ever spent. It's in a fake leopard-skin print and a thing of beauty. I've got to carry shopping up three flights of stairs and schlepping ten-kilo sacks of cat-litter back has become so much easier. I even hauled my prized charity-shop bargain bread-maker home in it.
Get one. Right away.0 -
I got my first when I left home at 18 :rotfl:
I have 2
One has an integral seat like this:- http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004QJ4UZW/ref=noref?ie=UTF8&s=kitchen&psc=1 Mine is black/red & I've had it over 10 years
well handy for bus stops/train stations, picnics on the beach & camping trips, also used to use it for face painting.
The other is a normal plain black one and tbh after 20 years needs replacing soon. I'm gonna get something brightly coloured and fancy.
Living 3 floors up with no lift my neighbours and I have worked out the 3 wheeler "stair trolley" types are pretty useless.
I prefer using Lidls and Aldi and markets for most of my fresh food weekly and a shopping trolley is soooo much easier than oodles of bags. No woman looks stylish struggling with tonnes of carriers. With a chic shopper and a wiggle in your walk you can assume some semblance of style at least
A note of caution for people visiting London as tourists - suitcases are often stolen at coffee shops and stations. Thieves assume you may have valuables and passports in them. :eek:For some reason shopping trollies are far less likely to be stolen this way.
I now advise friends coming to stay for the weekend to pack their clothes in a shopping trolley rather than a suitcase for this reason, Several face painting friends had their kits in suitcases (worth hundreds!) stolen in this manner a few years back. It was VERY harsh on the facepainters to lose the entire tools of their trade & therefore livelhoods in one fell swoop just cos they kept their kit in a suitcase.
You really notice it in the winter. Carrier bags cut off the circulation to your fingers in the cold! A trolley is so much more convenient!0 -
Surprising how many people have them "Young n old".
I bought one for about £10 (2 wheels) and it has really been invaluable the past couple of years.
My weekly shop has never been the same as its no longer a struggle with heavy bags cutting into my hands!!
GO - for - it - you'll never look back!!!!0 -

Go for it, they are tres chic and used alot by Parisian women apparently, and you can't get more elegant than that!
Neither me nor my husband drive so I do the weekly shop in the small Mr S in my town then just wheel the shopping trolly through town back to my house. I find if you stride along with your head held high, you can get away with it. However, if I am feeling lazy and leave the trolly in front of my house for a day or two it can make us look a little "Shameless"0
