Wow, you lot have been busy over the weekend - it's taken me ages to catch up with the thread.:p

I'm another one that can't stand crowds. Well, if I'm honest, I can't stand people. They scare me, big time.

We went to the theatre Saturday night, which was really good (better than the pub, cos I don't have to interact with others. See previous paragraph.:D) but hel's teeth, was I cream crackered yesterday.

Why is it that whenever I go out for a nice evening, I feel like mega-carp the next day?

OK, looks like the Wedding of the Year is starting toreally take shape. BZ you'll be surprised how quickly the next 6 months will whip past.

:confused:There was more I was going to say, but my mind's gone blank (no change there, then).

Ah, LW, so long as you manage to comment on Wedding of the Year before your mind goes blank then nothing else matters ;):p

We've got another 6 months of this folks *sigh*

I've had quite a nice day here. I felt it was my duty to suep to finish the book I was reading as soon as possible so I can send it to her. Unfortunately, that meant that I didn't get to do the housework and chores. It was a sacrifice, but I managed it :D
suep, if you pm me your address, I'll pop it in the post to you tomorrow.

Despite my promise to myself that I wouldn't buy any books this week after going slightly overboard last week, I am going to have to get the second one in this series.
and I totally agree on reading a book rather than seeing a film. Mental images are so much richer than anything that can be portrayed on a screen.

I popped into TKMaxx to return a cardi that I didn't like - OK it was too small - and found a couple of Pecksniff candles in the sale, so I was forced to buy them. Lavendar and Vanilla and Rose and Vanilla - really spring smells.

The sun was out here again, but it was much cooler. Now I've finished reading, I must get up and do something. If only my butt wasn't superglued to this sofa. Damn :D
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

I stupidly thought I could get away with going into town with dil if I pushed g/d's pushchair today, we couldnt fit the scooter in her boot and probably wouldnt have been able to lift it anyway, I was wrong and Im now paying the price. I just hate being stuck inside when its nice and sunny and Ive got birthday money burning a hole in my pocket, but I felt so ill we had to come back home so Ive still got the money, I think I'll have to stick to online shopping, the crowds were awful too.

BZ well done with going to shopmobility for your shopping trip, we only have them 4 days a week so I couldnt get a scooter this morning, it will probably be days before Im back to normal now, but Im stubborn and keep trying lol

cwta Ive pmed you my address, cant wait for the book, it must be good if your getting the next one in the series, how many are there ?

Kitty Ive only recently had to give up going to gigs and Im gutted, I was going in my wheelchair, the disabled area usually has a really good view and I even went to V festival a couple of years ago but now Im finding the lights and noise set of bad migraines, so Ive had to give in. I would put up with it for U2 though ;)

Cant think what else I wanted to say, will probably have to edit something in when I remember :rotfl:

  • Just a quickie - Suep, I think there are 3 books so far. It is probably too dangerous for me to have a look on Amazon to find out for sure!

lw im the same when we go out, it sort of sucks all the spoons away and leaves me feeling flat for a couple of days no matter how much i enjoy the night itself  my friend [whos irish] is picking me up tomorrow night to go for a [strike]pint of guiness[/strike] fruit juice, im looking forward to seeing her but not the after effects

i havent been to a concert in ages :( i had tickets to go and see guns n roses last year but all the reports said about axel not turning up for ages and i couldnt stand for very long so seemed no point :( there was a group of us going and we had no trouble getting rid of my ticket  i would make the effort though if aerosmith came :D

i read memory keepers daughter, i agree it was good.

careful do tell, what is this book you have finished called? please do tell so i can investigate.

loosing concentration with books, when that happens i go back and reread my kids books, chalet school, noel streatfield etc its less frustrating than not reading at all :D
  • Ooooooh, I would so love to see Aerosmith Raeh! Stevie Tyler is sex on a stick!
Bz, Queen were my passion and FM was my hero. I went to at least one concert of each UK tour they did. Loved them.

  • pcl, the first book in the series is called "Marked" - the authors are PC and Kristin Cast. They're a Mother and Daughter writing combo.
Ditto to raeh's offer of posting books out - I so love to pass books on to someone else who will enjoy them.

I couldn't get into Memory Keeper's Daughter - I think I was in the wrong mood for it,

Maybe we need to create our own Fibro Book Club, sending books out to be passed round?!

raeh, I would like it if anyone else doesn't want it! We should send them all to each other when we read them. I bought a few at asda the other week cos they were really cheap but haven't read one of them yet. Anyone like Jodi Piccoult? I think I've heard of the memory keepers daughter.

cwta, that's interesting. The doc seemed to recognise what I was saying about mitochondrial disease but wasn't sure about Lyme so she looked it up. She knew about Lyme but just not what tests to order.

Anyhoo, she said she would have to ask at the labs as she isn't sure whether the tests are available in Leeds. i told her about this specialist bloke and she said to go ahead if I could afford to do so. She has started me on Pregababble and told me to come back to her when I've found out more, by which point she will have too and we can discuss it. She is a great doc, she really makes me feel in charge iykwim.

There are supplements you can take without having the test, to see if they help. It's affording it though isn't it. Something which has more importance to me now since OH came home tonight and said he has no work from Friday :(
