p.s. They've exported The Flintstones to the Middle East. People in Dubhai don't seem to like them, but people in Abu Dhabi do.

Sharon so good to hear from you, I've been thinking of you a lot lately and I know everyone else has too, I hope you and your family are coping ok and that the treatment doesn't leave you feeling ill. I have pmed you xxx
BZ was it you who mentioned The magic Faraway tree books? they were my absolute favourites when I was a little 'un I really wanted to slide down the tree and eat those pop biscuitsI missed the house pics first time so thanks for posting them again, I love the open fireplace, we havn't got one at all, just rads and I miss having a fire.
LW Your Penny dog is similar to Diamond, but shes black and white and has one floppy ear she cant straighten. The homeless man who gave her to my son named her Diamond as she has a diamond shaped white patch on the back of her neck, keeping the name was a condition of us having her but as shes grown the diamond shape has spread and now looks more like a ZShe is really soppy and has always walked without a lead which makes it easy for me to take her out in my scooter. Id post a pic of her but I dont know how, can someone explain it as simply as possible as I am very un techy
cwta Thankyou for posting the book, Ive almost finished reading the one Im on at the moment so will be ready for a new one soon
I ended up with a migraine last night so had to go to bed at 8.00pm, still felt a bit dizzy and spaced out for most of today but it's eased off a bit now, do any other migraine sufferers get that the next day ?Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

Hi Sharon, great to see you :T, I've pm'd you - but just for when you are up to it, no hurry
Suep, glad you got the card, hope you had a good day. If you get the chance see if you can get a copy of Foods that Nurture by Aine Macateer (I think that's it) she used to cook for the stars and a lot of her recipes are vegan or easily adapted.
Hey ho, I think I am croning (entering the menopause) - I assume that yesterday I had my first hot flush and I'm just having another - I remember feeling like this when blushing uncontrollably at school as a twelve-year-old. I'll ask the doc to check my bloods next time I see him as up till now I've not had any symptoms at all:eek:. Okay so I guess I'll have to stop singing the old Alphaville hit 'Forever Young' then.
The meerkats have landed, http://s453.photobucket.com/albums/qq253/Epsi1oneridani/My%20Knitting%20projects/
Sorry I know there were lots of things I wanted to say, but they have gone and I have to get sorted as we're off to Ullswater tomorrow
Love to everyone. Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever

that should contain my furbabies. i need to go and organise and play, it should have been all set to private so if you cant see nudge me and i will fiddle with it tomorrow (or at some point this week), my house pictures should be in an album there too. and if anyone knows how to set some albums public and some private and can tell me that would be super.
there was much more i wanted to say, but i got distracted by the phone and cant remember now
except to send sharon some good wishes and thoughts.
hope you all have a good night.0 -
A beary-eyed and reluctant morning to you all.
Got woken by delivery - although am expecting something today, this was one for the neighbours.
Unfortunately, cold seems to be making a resurgence, but am seeing gp tomorrow anyway, so will mention it to her.
pcl, what lovely kitts! They look like little old ladies - are they? I'm sorry I can't help with the public/private stuff - I don't have much experience of photobucket.
Someone asked about how to post a photo? All you need to do is open an account (free) with something like photobucket and then it will talk you through browsing to pick up and upload any photos you have stored on your pc. Does that help at all?
Although I read loads of books as a kid, I can't remember anything other than The Mallory Towers series which I loved. I think I was a little precocious as I used to borrow older sister's books.
Brain is a bit all over the place this morning and I can't focus, so am indulging guilty pleasure and watching Jeremy Kyle - deplorable I know!
I had a distinct emotional "wobble" yesterday and am still feeling unsettled, so I'll keep myself busy today and hope it calms down.
I hope you all have a peaceful day.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
whitney (the black one) is a very old lady, i, well my parents, got her in 1986 and she was at minimum 2 then. chloe, the other one is also technically an old lady being as she is about 8 now.
jeremy is good fun to watch, he is like interent drama, great with popcorn but no fun if your caught in the middle.0 -
((((Sharon)))) just post when you feel up to it my friend. As an inveterate RPG player, I feel I want to go and get a virtual sword to help fight your monster.
:mad:I was all ready to type my post and the doorbell rang, and it was the (very unpleasant) bloke next door with our mail that the postie had delivered to him in error. Trouble was, he didn't want to believe me when I said that I didn't have his mail. So now I'm all shaky, and can't remember what I was going to type. So I'm as wossnamed off with Royal Mail as CwtA was yesterday.
Oh well.....
Kass did DS1 enjoy his birthday?
Saffie sorry my pic of Penny made you cry - it's horrible when we lose our furbabies. I don't have one of my own at the moment, but I do sometimes have Molly Dog to stay with me when her owners go abroad for holidays.

The legs in the pic are Mr LW's, and that's our rather untidy lounge.
BZ sorry you've been feeling a bit down in the dumps - are you trying to do too much all at once perhaps? Along with worrying about your Aunt, of course. Hope you feel better today, anyway.
PCL what lovely little pudd'n -cats.
Raeh are you also doing too much? You always seem to be so busy.
Sue thanks for the story of how Diamond got her name. I imagine she's a real litttle gem, so it's very suitable.
Unity welcome to the fun world of hot flushes!
S/e where are you??
Right, I'm off now to fire off an angry email to Royal Mail. Probably won't improve their service, but I have to say something, or they won't know their postie isn't doing his job properly. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
