Me want piccies of Kitchen bz! I have to clean the kitchen floor quick smart as I'm in danger of sticking to it so fast that I won't be able to leave
I knew there was some missing but couldn't remember what...there isn't one of the dining room either is there?
Don't mention sticky floors. DF thought it was a good idea on the weekend to try cleaning the floor by spraying cleaner on the floor and running a dry mop over it. Result? Sticky squeeky floor!

BZ was it you who mentioned The magic Faraway tree books? they were my absolute favourites when I was a little 'un I really wanted to slide down the tree and eat those pop biscuits ;) I missed the house pics first time so thanks for posting them again, I love the open fireplace, we havn't got one at all, just rads and I miss having a fire.
Twas me indeed. I loved that book. And the other that I can't remember what's called now. Was it only when you were a little'un that you wanted those pop biscuits? 'Fess up now! ;)
I love having a fire too. When I lived in flats for a few years (and before it my parents house had electric bar fires) and then moved into my old house and I loved that there was a "proper" gas fire. This one here is not as good though, the fake coals are actually burning, probably because they're not placed right, probably because I had to do it when I moved in...
Although I read loads of books as a kid, I can't remember anything other than The Mallory Towers series which I loved. I think I was a little precocious as I used to borrow older sister's books.
Surely not? I can't imagine you as precocious Auntie Axe(!) :p
I also was a precocious child (yep 'fraid so) and DF is still precociuos so heaven knows what we'll need to deal with from our kids! :rotfl: I liked the Mallory Towers series too :)

BZ sorry you've been feeling a bit down in the dumps - are you trying to do too much all at once perhaps? Along with worrying about your Aunt, of course. Hope you feel better today, anyway.
Thanks LW, I wish that were the case, but I'm well aware of how emotional stress takes energy away from me and have done barely anything. Apart from the odd go on the wii of course ;) Last night all my right hand side muscles were aching, but it makes a nice change that it was from something I'd actually done!

i think its a culmination of doing too much constantly and stressing about things so iv rested today and hopefully will feel ok later. sorry to blather on about it :o
*nods* I would agree Raeh :naughty: However, you're not allowed to apologise anymore for doing what we're supposed to come on here to do! That's what we're here for, remember?

Sharon good to see you. We understand that you're probably not up for posting much, but so long as you know we're still thinking of you :)

I'm still full of a cold. Which is beginning to drive me crazy. Woke up with a big greeny yellow blisterous volcanic mound on my chin which is now v sore post poke. Need a shower but can't be @rsed. Should go and play with the printer and see if I can get these invites started, but can't be @rsed with that either, which tbh is not like me. I feel a bit out of it, numb or something, so I'll apologise now if my posts are all over the place!

    BZ
    1. Leave the invites for today; if you're not feeling enthusiastic, you won't do a good job, and you won't like them afterwards.
    2. Have the shower - trust me, it'll perk you up.
    3. Don't apologise, we all have times when our posts are "all over the place".
    4. Have a nice cup of tea/coffee/beverage of choice and veg out with a good DVD or book.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • ^ Wot she said.

I trust s/e won't mind me telling you, but she's got the gardening bug at the moment, so she's either still at it, or in bed recovering from the after effects.
Am actually hoping to meet up with her next week as I'll be in her neck of the woods. But if not this time, definately another time.

You've all been so good about uploading photies, that I've decided to do mine. Tis busy beavering away in the background uploading ones I took on the Scillys at Xmas and, as I got the kitchen to a reasonable state today, have taken some of that so you can see how teeny, tiny it is and why the freezer was in the bedroom.

New thread rule? Apologies not allowed?

Hi all, Im a bit shattered from visiting friends today, Im trying to rest but naughty Diamond thinks its playtime and is driving me mad sitting by her toy box (yes you heard right :D ) whinning, I have played with her quite a bit already, but she doesn't want to stop, its worse than having a toddler around the place ;) ..........right Im back, we've been through the toy box and she's chosen a manky old chewy thing

Unity I'll look up that book thanks, loved the meerkats but raeh thought that was you in the jumper ! its not is it? Im sure you havn't changed that much

cwta The book came today, thankyou so much I cant wait to read it. I hope your feeling a bit less wobbly this evening. I love your pics. It was me that asked how to send in photos, I'll join photobucket and sort out some pictures of Diamond.

pcl there lovely pictures of your cats

Lw The dog in the picture is gorgeous and similar to Diamond without the white and grey bits, I will try and send in some pics of her

BZ Ive just remembered some other EB books I liked, they were about a magic chair that grew wings and flew but I cant remember what they were called. My kids never appreciated EB books but my daughter loved Harry Potter and still does.

Mad dogs given up at last and is snuggled up beside me, Im sure she was paying me back for going out today :rotfl:

the magic faraway chair i think that one was sue :) something like that anyway.

my girls said thank you for the compliments, (chloe hates he rpicture being taken, which is why there are hardly any of her btw, all i have to do is have the camera in my hand and she hides under the bed).

teeny tiny kitchen careful, i dont think i will ever understand why house builders/designers/whatever think tiny kitchens work.

hope everyone who is feeling under the weather in one way or another feels better soon.

Right Ive re-opened my photobucket account, I had one last year but deleted all the pics for some reason I cant remember  I've uploaded 2 pics of Diamond that I found and have forgotten what to do next, is it something to do with the html code or whatever it is ?

cwta I have to finish a book before I can start it, but Im a fast reader when I dont keep coming on here :D

  • Hi folks

Sorry for being awol again, but as Auntie Axe sed, I've had to get on and do a bit of gardening over the past few days, before 3 or 4 years of hard work was all undone by the weeds going berserk. Not so much the 'gardening bug' more necessity. Having said that, all I've done is cut the grass (without any frog/mower interaction, thankfully) and weeded one small bed - that's taken me since Saturday and you'll all recognise the sensation of feeling like I've gone 10 rounds with Mike Tyson, despite only doing about an hour a day 'til it was done. Plus I also think I've started reacting to the sun again as I've been running a temp every night since Saturday and feeling incredibly unwell between coming in from the gardening and then getting to bed.

Sorry, had a really bad night last night and my brain's in sludge mode again - {hugs} to all those in need.
