Raeh, bless you my love, for making me reach for Tena Lady's after real fit of the giggles over the goat uploading your pics. I so love it when typos are in context!
Sorry you're still feeling GRIM bz *grin* I hope it passes soon and you can get some quality time with OH this weekend and improve the eay your feel.
seaside, in a way I want to say congratulations on the Fibro?! Sometimes just having a difinitive diagnosis can help the way you feel. Good luck with the acupuncture and all love and hugs to sharon.
lw I hope the weather stays as lovely tomorrow as it has been today. I love picnics - for some reason they make me feel all young, carefree and decadent.
Just been to GP for routine appointment - just a "how are you doing". Nothing much to report except my blood pressure is still way over the top so she's upped one of the 4 ( ) meds for it - I did try to explain to her that I had just been to see Dad and that would surely explain any raise in BP - she's his Dr too. I got a wry smile from her and an acknowledgement that he's not the best patient. He's actually really poorly with a chest infection, poor thing. He sounds like he has croup.

That's the first time I have put any of my kids on the net raeh, I can't stand the thought of any weirdo's looking at them. Was gonna delete them after letting you lot have a look but I think I will just set a password and pm you all with it when I get the others. Who's idea was that? Was it pcl's? Thanks anyway to whoever put the idea in my head
Good to see you seaside!

Auntie Axe I'm glad your passport's arrived in plenty of time - at least you didn't have to have an Interview with them. T/S has just got his first passport, and had to be interviewed before it was issued. Poor s*d was in quite a state 'til it arrived cos he couldn't answer some of the questions he was asked correctly. We got a friend of mine to sign his form as a 'person of good standing in the community'. Trouble was, despite the fact that we've known her for about 4 years, he wasn't sure what her occupation was, where she worked or how old she was (well, she's my friend not his, so no reason why he should) and he got my date of birth wrong.
lame wolf - don't worry, I am taking it slowly with the garden. I've not done any more since Monday although there is still more needs doing. I did strip my bed today (didn't attempt to turn the mattress though) and put my duvet in for a wash - it was such a lovely day today I wanted to get it on the line in the fresh air for a while once it was dry (it's feather, and the instructions say to tumble dry quickly once it's washed). Having decided to do that, I felt it was enough for one day so other gardening will now have to wait 'til next week if the weather holds.s/e0 -

CWTA Im glad your passport arrived at last. I'll have another look at photobucket, I think my homepage is private, I was worried that just anyone could look at it otherwise although I dont mind you lot. I did have an account with them last year but deleted all the pics because I wasnt sure who could see them and I had lots of pics of my baby g/kids on it. At the moment theres just 2 pics of Diamond, most of my other pics are of my beautiful g/kids who will both be 2 in May and I havnt put hem on yet. Can I have it on share and only let friends and family see it ?
Seaside nice to hear from you again, Im glad you finally got a dx, but Im sorry its fibro, I know theres a lot worse out there but invisible illness's are hard to cope with.
Kass Your children are lovely, I had no problems seeing your pics, it was nice to put a face to the name too. I dont think I'll put a pic of me on, I dont want to scare anyone
Its been a long day, I looked after my g/d from 2-7 although my son, her dad turned up at 4.30 and stayed for dinner but she didnt want him, shes a right nannys girlIm worn out and overtired so sorry if Im not making a lot of sense. Im going to get back to the book now

ty for explaining the flintstones (and the goat, i didnt notice that either even after i read back to see what you were talking about) and thank you for makin gme laugh
i am very good at missing the obvious, or at making some blunder or other and not realising why everyone is laughing at me until somepoint later, when i will then pmsl seemingly for no reason.
right photobucket, you should all only be able to see two (or 3 if you count the home page before the two sub) albums on mine now, if more can be seen, or if the albums with pictures of my niece and nehphew or me are visable i shall have to go and set the whole thing to private, but any of you who want to nosey are welcome to the password, shout out and i will pm it to you.
and i got distracted by the phone two hours ago so have no iea what else i wanted to reply to now, and its attempt at bedtime time so i will just wish you all pleasant dreams and a good night and say goodnight.0 -
Hi,
I'm new to this thread (but have had fibro for about 10 years)
Can I just say to Seaside that I had acupuncture for fibro and it was brilliant - but... I think it very much depends on what symptoms you have ( I'm not actually convinced that Fibromyalgia is all the same 'thing') and who does the acupuncture.
I had mine through a physio in Edinburgh, and while one person I saw instinctively seemed to 'know' where the points were, the second was not as successful. Some physio's seem to have a lot more training/aptitude.
When it worked it was brilliant - I lay there and giggled like an idiot (apparently it was a strange reaction, but I felt as high as a kite!) Your body decides which needles it 'wants' some it holds on to, some it spits out.
I went into it very skeptical, but found that it really did help - especially with energy levels, and am definitely going to go for more! Hope it helps you.0
