bz, I missed your post about the Wii!!!! Stoked for you!
Am reluctant to try it as I have a 30 which Inever use and haven't got round to selling. Just scared tha after spending all that money on it Wii would end up the same way, and you can't get hold of Wii Fit for love nor money down these parts.
And books are so much more my mojo.
Am mightily cheered today as have replaced the "perfect" lippy (colour discontinued in the 70's I think!). For under a tenner too. Me likey.
Be back later and will concentrate properly. Off to restock food with whoopsies in M&S.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Would that be a 360 that you never use, Auntie Axe?
I was the same about the Wii, but tbh they're so popular that even if it turned out that I didn't use it that much we could still sell it on and it would probably fetch what I paid for it what with vouchers etc.I thought it was worth a go in the run up to the wedding. I have an old xbox and a ps2 that are rarely used (neither of which I paid for, long story) but they're good for when the nieces/nephew comes and OH's turned the study (which is like a double room with futon etc) into a bit of a chill out pad too, complete with spare tele and games consoles, and uses the xbox as a dvd player (also have the proper xbox dvd remote for it, again didn't pay for
).
Re lippy, I always loved Rimmel's (I think) Heather Shimmer and Copper Shimmer. Apparently the best shade to wear is a match to the colour that's just inside your bottom lip...so I'm on the hunt pre-wedding now  I'm gonna do my own makeup for the day, I can't abide people messing with my hair (but will have to) nevermind my face! :rotfl:
And Saffie sorry you're feeling rubbishHope you recover quickly and can bare to be in the same room as kitty soon!

Just realised, it's exactly 6 months TODAY. :j:j:jIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I'm not having a headdress/tiara, just some pretty pins to put the front bits up and have something to slide the veil into (neither of which I've actually procured yet, you understand ).
Yay! 6 months today!!!:D:D

I felt I was a bit long in the tooth for a veil, particularly as Mr LW and I were both "recycled". But then, none of my outfit was what you'd call "conventional".
Did you say you'd finally chosen some shoes? What're they like? (Nosey bat, ain't I?:rotfl:)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
You're gonna look fantastic.

I've seen some online, gonna have a look what they're like in person hopefully next week...they're these (hover your mouse over them and it'll zoom in on that section). I wanted wedges cos I don't really do heels at all and they're comfier/sturdier, but I don't want too much of a heel still. You wouldn't believe how difficult it is to find nice white wedges!
Hey, so long as it's nosey about my wedding, I'm happy to oblidge!! :rotfl:"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
Ok, so I'm in a quandry...
I hate BT because of previous issues with them, but I'm also swayed by the number of complaints OH gets about them at his telecommunications ombudsman job. I used to be with Virgin and when I phoned them about moving they said they didn't cover the new house area but would in May. After all the faff with Sky still not having delivered on phone or broadband and the completely nightmarish customer service delivered so far we were all set to cancel with them, but I like the tv package I get from them. So I had a look on Virgin's site today to see what kind of tv they could give me in May, see how it compares to Sky. I found out that they can do phone and broadband before the cabling arrives in this area. So I rang up to see about it, and see if they can give me my phone number back etc. She said that Virgin had NO plans to expand into my area! And that I would have to activate the phoneline with BT (who I hate) before they could do anything regarding phone and broadband for me!!
So do I try again with the ridiculous Sky?? Do I risk a BT line so I can have someone like Virgin? Do I sack it all of and cry in the corner somewhere??"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
