Fibromyalgia (part 2)

raeh - I say exactly the same even if Im a passenger in a car at night, I accuse all the cars of having their lights on full beam as they really hurt my eyes, its caused migraines before which is why I try not to go out at night now. I wonder if its a fibro thing or an age thing ? Im sure your younger than me but do any of the younger ones (BZ,Trialia any others ?) have this problem it would be interesting to know.BZ Yeah I know what you mean, it was quite ironic (and funny) that the ramp bloke made my legs hurt
their still not right, you wait till he next comes round, I'll wack him with my walking stick :rotfl: Ive just remembered what I keep wanting to say to you, was it you who mentioned ages ago about flakey nails ? and said about rubbing olive oil into them ? well I tried it for a couple of weeks and my nails were brilliant, it really worked, then I kept forgetting and they started snapping again, so I started it again last night. Its much better than all those expensive strengtheners you can buy, so thanks for that
It was me that mentioned the rubbish breaking nails thing. I still maintain that although I agree the weather plays it's part...it was the pregabalin. My nails are pretty much back to normal now having been on half dose for two weeks and no dose for like half a week. That's my theory anyway. :rolleyes:Kassandra wrote:... Zippy is right, we don't stay on topic about our conditions. In fact, I only seem to be able to think of one theme that has run through all our thread. Now what can that be zippy :rotfl:
Cwta my hair's just bizarre full stop. I too have thick curly hair, and LOTS of it. I continually praise the inventors of straightners...although I'm still waiting for Boots to get the GHDs I want in stock so I can use last years bday gift card and this yrs Christmas money... for some reason little Buddy (daft but ever loving Jack Russel/Chihuahua dog) decided that the wire on my current set was tasty and subsequently chopped through it! I wouldn't mind but I changed the fuse on the plug before I realised the wire with the plug was not one with the wire with the straightners anymore!! :rotfl: I can't really help with the hormonal effects thing, cos I barely pay attention, but it's very sensitive to water changes and the weather. I'm turning into a bit of a silver fox too:shhh:, and that just won't do at this tender age!
Kassandra I have just one thing to say... Gardeners World Magazine??? What on eath possessed you???? :rotfl:
P.S. Isn't it just such a shame that the only place in the house that will pick up the sneaky connection is in my bed?"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

The only time they can fit me in, as she said i couldnt have a GP appointment only a nurse as they dont say urgent, was in 2 weeks  now im going to flap and worry and flap a bit more til iv had them donethey werent supposed to be back til thursday either !
ahh well im sure il find out soon enough and if i worry too much il ring and ask for an over the phone appointment2009-£7500 2010 £10800 2011 £2000

raeh, could you call and ask to speak to GP at end of surgery to discuss "indications". It's quite understandable you would worry but it may be something like rheumatic count high due to inflammation. It's not worth the additional energy to worry, so do try to put your mind at rest over this?
Sadly, in the days when I had a garden, a mag like that was something to look forward to. I used to get extra excited if it came with a free pack of seeds - the shame of it.
Have discovered at Dads that the mounting block is just the right height for me, so may grow some things for window baskets from scratch this year - definately doing toms again and a dustbin of tatos.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Oh yes, please remember I'm in charge of the pumelling - wouldn't want you all to over exert selves doing it and I quite enjoy *grin*
Can I add bz's OH to the list for moving laptop and temporarily losing her freebie connection? Yes, it's too sad that the place you get reception is in bed - my heart bleeds for you. *grin*
Got IB renewal form off today - even managed to copy it and send it recorded delivery. Such a good girl.
Have been bored, bored, bored today. Couldn't even concentrate on reading - even though I have a really good book on the go. Not bored enough to clean kitchen though ....
kass kudos on keeping Basil plant alive - they tend to do everything they can to die as soon as you get them home. Major league skill to stop them.
Sharon and Unity - huggles from me.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

Just a quickie to say hi. Somehow I've managed to have a busy few days (don't see anyone apart from T/S for weeks on end, then suddenly everybody wants to see me at once) and I'm once again knackered.
Auntie Axe I envy you your cold (yes, seriously - I've not had one for 5 or 6 years now and catching a cold would mean my immune system was functioning nearly normally again), but hope you're feeling better soon.
zippy I'm glad you've found your network again - such a shame it's only available in the bedroom.
Sharon and Unity I hope you're both resting and start to feel better soon.
Everyone else - I hope you're functioning as well as can be expected.
It's only 8.30, but having been out for a couple of hours today, I'm totally knackered, etc so I'm having an early night.
I'll catch up again with you all later.s/e0 -

True, actually. Hadn't thought of it like that. Good news I suppose if you look at it that way.
Have upped pain meds and NSAID's and finally understand the "spacey" feeling. Feeling almost drunk despite not touching a drop. Me no likey.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

I've done nothing today. Except for sleep and attempt to sleep. Oh and let the gas bloke in who, as it turns out, was even more baffled about my weird heating/non heating situation than I was. He can't do a thing, just fill out a report to send to his office, which will in turn pass on to the rental agents, who will contact the landlord for response.... hmmm....sounds like a speedy resolution, eh?
I'm tight like a tiger today. All the muscles I used (apparently they're under there somewhere!) yesterday laying the carpet tiles for MIL2B's friend have seized. I can't even sit down. It's ridiculous.
Oh, and I'm STILL hungry. All the time. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I thought the purpose of appetite suppressants was that you didn't feel hungry!"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -

I took all the pain meds I could safely have together last night and was still in considerable pain. Was NOT happy. From hip to toe in both legs, just aching like crazy and couldn't keep them still for wanting to rub them. (Is that what you mean by restless legs?
