p.s. My 1st wedding was here http://www.knowlecountryhouse.co.uk/. Not at all in the same league.

Um not too far off though! Mine is nothing like. I'm more like Raeh...on the cheap!

Tramadol definitely doesn't have that effect on me! About 30mins after taking it I'm starving! With or without appetite suppressants...

Hahahaha! You're an enigma BZ :rotfl:

Thinking about it now, BZ is right about the sensitive eyes being part of Fibro/ME, it might not be on any list but Fibro is known as a 'sensitive to everything' disorder, something ot do witht he Thalmus gland I think, I read this stuff and never remember any of it.

I think it's the Hypothalamus. Only held that in my head cos I did Psychology. I watched this thing today that was sent in an e-mail

He made sense when he say's it is a sensory thing too so it would follow that we are sensitive to light/noise. I know it might seem weird to some but I feel like I imagine our Jade feels when she is overwhelmed. Jade is quite severely autistic and I can see when she is getting stressed in situations she can't handle. If I was doing an impression of how she reacts to her stressors then I would behave how I feel when I feel I can't handle a situation iyswim.

Unity they need a good boot up their proverbial if you ask me. How pathetic is that. I remember having to split two of my friends up after they got into an argument over Rangers v Celtic. Honestly some people make my blood boil. Good job I can't get too angry tonight as OH has just put Kevin n Perry on and I can't help but smile :D

The place looks lovely. I like places that mix modern design with classics. Glad you had a good weekend. We all need a good wedding to look forward to ;)

Sharon good to see you love. Glad you've got a date. I know it's nothing to look forward to but I'm thinking it helps you to set goals xx

Well my latest is my tooth. I am genuinely falling apart. My front tooth fell out tonight  I'm supposed to be meeting someone tomorrow (member the Jeremy Kyle story I told you? Well I'm meeting him) but I look like steptoe!! :o

Well I'm off to scoff some of OH pizza. See you all tomorrow......if my arm hasn't fallen off by then!!

You said it!! I'm sure there's only me that can go on appetite suppressants and be hungry all the time!

Let us know how it all goes today, Steptoe ;) ...providing your arm hasn't fallen off o' course! :p

I was in some pain last night and had that horrible trapped nerve, wanna rip my fingernails off, sort of nervy weird pain too. It was all I could do to refrain from taking a pregabalin and sodding the consequences. I'm gonna attempt to get in to see GP asap (OH just text-I asked him to ring GPs cos thought I'd be asleep-and said I have an appt next Tues...*sigh*) and discuss these stupid appetite suppressants. I deeply suspect we're going to have to part ways, I can't be doing with all the nerve symptoms and the lack of proper sleep and extra pain mean I'm extra knackered at the moment and have barely gotten dressed more than a couple of times this week, never mind done anything vaguely productive. I need to have my head with me to sort everything out for both the wedding and setting up proper accounts for the new house etc, and at the moment I'm all fog or lethargy. I wouldn't mind so much if the stupid meds actually did what they're supposed to!! Ah well...

Woke up about 5.15am today. Thought about taking some more Tramadol but realised I didn't have a drink up here to take them with, so waited for OH to get up (over an hour later) so he could get me one! By the time I've endured the alarm clocks though I'm pretty much disturbed, and then me being me I started thinking about my terminally ill aunt and couldn't get back to sleep...I'm hoping that once I've vented what's in my head a bit I'll be able to get back to sleep for a few hours.

Dad rang yesterday (don't know why they've suddenly taken to ringing practically everyday but it's getting a bit wearing!) and during the conversation (having nothing of any great interest to tell me ) he asked if I was still expecting them on Friday. Erm... that had me rattled! Then I remembered that mum was supposed to be coming seeing the wedding dress (that I showed you guys) and I'd forgotten all about it. Doh! :o I really should've been at least to window shop at a few dress places by now, but I simply can't be @rsed! I've let OH go to work in the car for the last couple of weeks (mainly cos even if I've been awake in the day I can't be bothered to go anywhere:cool:) but I'll have to confiscate it tomorrow and at least do the local ones in town. I have to feel like I've at least made an effort, after all, I have to make my mind up and order within the next week or so!

Well, I spose I'd better take my doom and gloom off with me, hope you've all had a better start to the day. :o

Sharonplease don’t hide away. The clips sound unpleasant, good that you’ve had them out.

Kass should we come behind you with a dustpan and brush in case anything else falls off?

Jamla I know what you mean about not seeing the keyboard properly.

BZ if the appetite suppressants aren’t actually doing what it says on the box, maybe ditching them and going back to your pregawhosit will be the way to go? Sorry you have to wait best part of a week for the GP appointment, but see what they say when you go. Just as well you Dad rang you, if you’d forgotten about their visit. (That’s why I have a PDA, can’t hold facts in my head for 2 minutes these days).

How's everyone else? *passes CwtA a large box of tissues*

My typing seems to have developed dyslexia - I'm trying to correct the typos as I go, but if a miss any I'm sure you'll understand.

I have to make bread rolls and fruit buns today, and may have a go at a recipe called Impossible Pie. Never done it before, so should be fun. If I actually manage to do it. Don't have the energy, so I may have to root around for a few spoons.

Mr LW helped me colour my hair last night, so I don't look like a badger anymore:j:j

  • Thanks for the tissues LW - all mine were decidely soggy.
I wouldn't mind some of the fruit buns if any are going spare? I'm not too proud to beg *grin*
Can I point out the irony of not just trying to make a pie, but an impossible one at that!

BZ, will this be the 1st time the parentals see the new house? Good job he rang otherwise you could have had a horrid shock at them just turning up.
Tis a shame that the appetite suppresants don't seem to be doing the job, but at least you've tried them. Let's hope you can get back in control of the pain fairly quickly.

I had to cancel my planned visit to theatre today as am just not up to it. Head and chest absolutely full of cold and I feel completely wrung out, so am staying on the sofa with blankie and pillow.
Very disappointed about missing play as I had booked tickets back in December, but health comes first.
Hope you're all staying warm - the weather has turned mighty cold again here.
p.s. Hope I can get rid of my cold in 7 wees *grin*
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

  • Hello folks

Just popping in to let you know that I'm 'fine' (for a given value of fine), but still feeling incredibly lethargic and blurgh.

Nice to see posts from Unity, Sharon, Lame Wolf and Zippy (did someone mention a wedding?)

Sorry you're feeling so grotty as well, Auntie Axe - pity about the theatre trip, but better that than a) delaying your recovery and b) spreading it about to all and sundry - although I still wouldn't mind if I caught a cold some time soon. Apart from anything else, I'd feel justified in spending the day in my night clothes and staying in bed.

My good deed for today was rescuing some frog/toad spawn. It goes like this - a couple of weeks ago I had an orgy of bonking amphibians in my garden (okay, slight exaggeration, I spotted 3 seperate pairs and a singleton (obviously froggy no mates)). During that time I noticed what appeared to be a dollop of mud or summat on the concrete just outside the shed door. Not having any need to access the shed recently I've just ignored it. It has remained looking like a dollop of mud - or summat.

Yesterday, it rained and rained and rained and then it rained some more. When I opened up the back door this morning, what I had taken to be a dollop of mud (or summat) had swelled into very definite and fertile frog/toad spawn.

Now, I realised it hadn't got a chance in hell of hatching if it dried out again, so scooped it up as best I could and dropped it in the saucers under my two plant pots in the back garden. I didn't think a bucket of freshly drawn tap water would do it any good (trust me, you haven't tasted my water - it's vile).

Anyway, having had a bit of time to thunk about it, I went out this afternoon and bought a cheap cat litter tray and transferred all the water and spawn from the plant saucers into the tray and it's rained a bit more so that's topped it up a bit more. Dunno if it'll hatch - but it would only have been a matter of time before I forgot about it and trod on it if I'd left it where it was.

That was my excitement for the day. I'm now completely knackered again and looking longingly at the clock and waiting for bed time.

I do hope everyone else is feeling a bit more lively than me.

Hi all, my hands are a bit better now thanks, Ill just have to pace myself on the comp from now on.

I dont think Im really with it today, Ive just caught up with all the mails since my last one, am I the only one who reads them all, but then get to one that refers to something somebodys mentioned and I havnt a clue what their on about  then I have to keep checking back to re-read everything and see what Ive missed. Does that make sense?
So anyway, I cant remember much but I hope cwta is feeling better soon, its such a shame about missing your play, but you wouldnt have been very popular if youd gone and coughed and sneezed all the way through it ;)
Im glad to see Unity back, your sons treatment is appalling, I know what you mean about wishing it had happened to you and not your ds, it's horrible watching your child suffer no matter how old they are. Eltham Palace looks lovely for a wedding.
I cant remember much else and I need to go and find some food, so I'll just send my love and hugs to everyone and come back when my brains in gear
