Oh, I am absolutely going to do it. We have our own team organised (it's teams of 4); one of Mr LW's oldest pals and his wife are going to join us. I'm fully aware I shall suffer the "fallout" in terms of anxiety, but I can't pass up the chance to do some good.

I'll get Mr LW to come with me to get the takings, but if I know Reg, he'll insist on me doing it. OK, deep breaths now....

EDIT: It's not til March 29th, so I've got a whole month to get into a major tizzy.

Hi LW i do know what you mean about standing up in front of people, i dont think there are many people that can actually do it happily. I do exactly as cwta said and have a front that i use and it does sort of take over to the point that people think im a confident, bolshy, gobby cow *hears gasps of amazement* no seriously they do! I over talk and move a lot to stop people looking at me lol as i hate the way i look
Everyone in the pub will be pleased with themselves for raising the money and you will feel so good when you step away with the takings

s/e glad you got another reasonable night it makes the day much easier doesnt it? i love knowing its friday and i get chill slightly more than usual

bz get on that phone and get the broadband sorted, i would have totally lost patience by now :rotfl:

Just a quick response. Unfortunately, despite the reasonable night last night, I'm feeling rather ropey again today. I suspect (what am I talking about, I know) I've been an' gorn an' overdone it this week. Oh well, 'tis Friday so I'm awarding myself a long weekend. [Well, If I don't do it, no-one else will.]

Im tired and achy but happy, I had a lovely morning with little g/s who makes me forget all the grotty stuff and Ive had a nice lazy afternoon. I hope you all had the lovely weather we've had down South, it's been lovely and sunny, almost spring like, I even sat outside for a while. I hope it lasts and that you all have a good weekend.

raeh and s/e, have an Auntie Axe special restful weekend where you say "bite me" to everything and snuggle on the sofa with the radio and a good book.

I am all full of fish and chips tonight. Even managed to eat it from a plate after I finally got to do the weeks' washing up this afternoon.
Successfully bit my tongue with Sister which is good.

Had a lovely letter from one of my Mum's friends this morning catching up with her family's news. Nice that they want to stay in touch even when Mum has been gone for nearly 3 years now. Was quite touched.

Thanks for the replies. Would be good to talk about specific RA things like drugs and their side effects, symptoms etc. But some things cross ailments like 'how dare they turn me down for a blue badge!'

Hi Carnation you can't talk about drugs and their side effects on this site as that constitutes medical advice. If that is what you want to discuss, a medical forum would be more suitable.

For the rest of the stuff, like "how to deal with life, despite", stick around!
