    Cheers Raeh :)

Am I the only one that sees the irony in the builder coming to see about the ramp for Suep, whilst making her stand at the door chatting to him?

I have the mother of all colds. Have been quite lucky this winter up til now, but making up for it now. I feel really poorly, so if anyone's going to the kitchen, I'm sure Tea and Cake will make me feel better. Too kind.

Hi there everyone. I first posted on the fibromylgia forum when the original one was first set up. I haven't been back since. I guess i just don't like to read about illness all the time. I know that sounds selfish but i keep trying to pretend i am fine even though i have been diagnosed with fibro for about 8 years now.
Hope that makes sense. Anyway as i am having a partuicularly bad day i have found myslef reading through all the posts on this thread. Just wanted to say that you have all helped me put how i feel into perspective. So thankyou. I realise i am not on my own and that we all have good and bad days.
Hope all you are having a better day than me.
Take care and thankyou once again.
    Luv Emily

    Who has?

    Hi Emily
Hope/glad we've been some help :) Stick around and have a giggle if you fancy it? We rarely stay on the topic of our conditions/symptoms anyways :D;)

    You!!
How are you doing with pain and nausea today? Any better?

It was a lovely day here today, but I've not even stepped outside the front door. A bit of a waste really.

Hope all that have been really quiet are OK - particularly sharon.

Lol, I've been laying carpet tiles today for MIL2B's friend. I shouldn't've, I know, but hey, it's done now ;) And if I do say so myself, I've done a superb job! :D

Nausea isn't too bad but I've been starving hungry all day  I somehow don't think it's the point of the tabs! If they don't do what they're supposed to do I'll ditch them, cos if I'm just basically running on self control I can do that with my pregabalin back! I've decided I'll give it between a week and 2 weeks and make my decision then. I've just had a relatively normal sized tea and didn't get that "you're full" feeling whilst eating...which you're supposed to from what I gather. I feel an odd combination of hunger pains and not sure if I'm starting to feel sick...Very bizarre. Pain's not too bad if I manage to sleep ok, which thankfully I have this weekend.

It's been really quiet on here today... OH moved the laptop at the house and lost the wireless signal (which I said would happen! Grrr) so not sure if I'll be able to get it back again. :( I'm at MIL2B's for now...

Blimey it was quiet yesterday  hopefully everyone was out enjoying the sunshine. I had ds1 and his family turn up for dinner, and afterwards I took gs to the duckpond round the corner to feed the ducks, on my scooter :rotfl:
He sat on my lap and laughed all the way, but when we got home he refused to get off and sat outside prentending to drive it until it was time to go home, hes such a little :A

raeh - I say exactly the same even if Im a passenger in a car at night, I accuse all the cars of having their lights on full beam as they really hurt my eyes, its caused migraines before which is why I try not to go out at night now. I wonder if its a fibro thing or an age thing ? Im sure your younger than me but do any of the younger ones (BZ,Trialia any others ?) have this problem it would be interesting to know.

BZ Yeah I know what you mean, it was quite ironic (and funny) that the ramp bloke made my legs hurt :D their still not right, you wait till he next comes round, I'll wack him with my walking stick :rotfl: Ive just remembered what I keep wanting to say to you, was it you who mentioned ages ago about flakey nails ? and said about rubbing olive oil into them ? well I tried it for a couple of weeks and my nails were brilliant, it really worked, then I kept forgetting and they started snapping again, so I started it again last night. Its much better than all those expensive strengtheners you can buy, so thanks for that ;)

cwta I hope your nasty cold clears up soon hun ((((HUGS))))

emilyt Welcome back, I hope your feeling better soon. I agree with BZ we dont often talk about being ill, but if someones poorly we always give them support and hugs.

Got to go, dh's just come in ttfn

My hair keeps doing weird things - wonder if it's being poorly or it's very sensitive to hormonal changes. Or if it's related to meds?

Have always had curly hair. Then when I came off pill after 15 years on it, it went to almost afro it was so curly. I've noticed in the last week or so, it's dropped most of the curl and is now just wavy.

I must admit it's a damn site easier to look after, but after years of wishing to get rid of my afro curls and have straight hair, I now miss my ringlets! There's just no pleasing some people

sue I can't stress how pleased I am for you that you're getting out and about in your scooter. A trip to feed the ducks with gs sounds like some of the best medicine in the world.

I'm a simply soul, and feeding the ducks is something that still brings me lots of pleasure :o

Why is it when I am the Snot Queen of Snotland, that I simply HAVE to go to the post office and post some stuff. Typical

Hi Emily. Zippy is right, we don't stay on topic about our conditions. In fact, I only seem to be able to think of one theme that has run through all our thread. Now what can that be zippy :rotfl:

Well sue, I'm 30 and always loved driving day and night. When we used to drive over to Ireland everybody used to share the driving unless I was there cos I didn't mind driving all the way. I can't stand driving on a night now. Like others, I'm always shouting at other drivers to turn their light down but have realised they don't actually have them on full beam, it's just me :o

cwta, my hair is curly too and I even had it straightened with the gear they use for afro hair and it still didn't work  Mine is also really thick and coarse too so it's a nightmare. There is not one hairdressers that I've been to that hasn't been shocked at my hair, even though I have pre-warned them! Hair is really sensitive to hormonal changes and environmental changes too, much like your skin.

Well guys, let me tell you about my exciting weekend. Thursday I didn't get in until 1045pm as I had to take one of the twins to emergency dentist and wait for about three hours. Was major pee'd off cos I knew I was going to feel like carp next day and i had my dads surprise do to organise. Next day I duly felt like poo but managed to pull it off. Had a good night after consuming loads of red bull. Saturday I was supposed to be going to a wedding and then to my mates surprise do in Mytholmroyd and staying over. Couldn't manage to go to either after overdoing it so just sent OH to the wedding and I stayed in and had pizza and...................................wait for it..................read a gardeners world magazine

Now you may think what's wrong with that but I should just like to point out that not only could I not manage to keep my Basil plant alive but it was a Saturday night, I'm only thirty and I DON'T EVEN HAVE A GARDEN!!!!! Whatever possessed me to buy it, I don't know :rotfl:
