HI to all -sorry not had time to catch up so sending hugs to all in need.My daughter is staying to "help" -ie stealing my laptop!
Should be making list of questions to ask Oncologist this afternoon as will forget otherwise-but finding it hard to get thoughts into black and white.Unfortunatly hubby cant come with me as was in bed all day yesterday vomiting 24hr bug/? stress and gp has told him what we already knew that if it was a bug then it could be dangerous to go into a cancer unit for the patients. He is gutted bless him and whilst lm saying its ok lm thinking s**t!My eldest daughter is coming-she was anyway as had asked earlier so will have support and he will have younger daughters support as she had unlike her sister said she did not want to come.
Sorry for going on will come back this evening and let you know the plan.
thanks for all your loving kind thoughts.:j this money saving is such fun:T0 -
Oh Sharon, what rotten luck for your DH to get a bug just now. Good luck at the hosp.
Sue thanks for the info on Unity; will send good thoughts and hope she feels well enough to join us here again soon.
CwtA yes I know you can buy quiches, but I actually like doing home cooking when I can. As long as I take my time, and get Mr LW to set things up for me (and do any work with sharp knives that needs doing) I'm fine; and it's better for me psychologically, as I feel I'm doing something "useful". Oh, and Mr LW likes my cooking....;) I shall be making bread rolls later today.
Mr LW and I had a chat last night, and he's going to ring the hosp helpline for me, as we feel that will be more use than the GP (from experience, GP will put it down to "stress" and that'll be it. I could go there with a broken arm and they'd say it was "stress":wall:). Actually, thinking about it, it may well be anxiety in this case, as I'm really nervous about the impending quiz night at the pub.
Mr LW had his visit to the Vampire Lady this morning, and has gone on to work; he rang me earlier, and he's fine - very chirpy, considering we had to get up an hour early.
Oh yes, I remember what else I was going to say. Like many here, I don't care for night driving, either. Have been doing some lately though, as I have to get in some driving practise ready for our holiday at the end of May.:o
Can't think of anything else right now, so I'll stop waffling.:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Loadsa hugs to you sharon. Rotton luck for your DH to get a bug just now. Hope you don't pick it up too!
I know it's a completely different kettle of fish (or hovercraft of eels) but I started some new Chemo tablets just about 10 days ago and am not doing too bad on them *touches wood*.
suep, how is your Dad doing?

Just a quickie, 'cos today is House Fairy day, and although she does all the heavy work, it still leaves me seriously knackered and in a lot of pain.
Sharon I've been thinking about you all day (if thoughts from us will help). I hope today at the hospital wasn't too difficult for you - even if OH couldn't attend with you. And please don't worry about 'going on about it'. If you can't do that now, when can you? And we all have a whinge from time to time, don't we?
I'll be back later when I've recovered from having my cleaning done. [Who'd have thought that having someone else doing your housework for you could be so tiring?]s/e0 -

*nips in while in Germany*
Dealing with a German keyboard is _interesting_... not laid out like ours!
Re. my comments about Twilight, I have no problem with people talking about it so long as I can reply in all _honesty_ - and I know for a fan my feelings about Twilight would likely not be welcome. So I'd rather not see it, then I don't have to put people who do talk about it on ignore for the sake of my blood pressure or abandon the thread entirely, because that's likely what it would come to. As I said before... I _really_ hate Twilight. I have well-thought-out opinions on the subject and they're very passionate, and so I would like to be able to stay friends with everyone on this thread, instead of getting into a discussion about _that_. Does that make more sense? I am a nice person really... I just get very angry about the bad examples Stephenie Meyer is setting for today's young girls with Bella.
I don't know what it is about this place, but I walked five miles today and I only took a three-hour nap to recover afterward. I like that!Homosexual, Unitarian, young, British, female, disabled. Do you need more?0 -

I doubt it's something that'll get brought up anyhoo - and we don't doubt that you're a nice person. Honest!
Dunno whereabouts you are in Germany or why you're there, but I spent some time in Baden Baden and the Black Forest many years ago (in old quavering voice). Beautiful countryside and people really friendly!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
