Sharon as usual, I've come online too late to wish you luck - but I hope the scan results were good, and that you now have a plan of campaign. It's good that you have Seaside for moral support.
BZ much as the prospect of having the drain in permanently must be horrible for MIL2B, if it means she gets the district nurse visit regularly, that's got to be a good thing. I hope you can persuade her sister to keep an eye on her while you're away.
CwtA just in case I don't get online tomorrow, I hope you have a great holiday. Say Hi to s/e for me. It'd be nice to hear from her, if she has a moment while you're on your hols.
Pcl I thought of you wwhile we were in the pub last night - one of the bikers opened a window as it was a bit stuffy, and a moth the size of a Boeing 747 came in!If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

Did it do a fly past?
I will pass all your good wishes on to s/e. I'm deliberately not looking at the weather forecast as it'll be what it's gonna be and I can't change it. I do hope the sun shines a bit though as the islands just sparkle in the sunlight.
There was a bit on Seaside Rescue last night about an UXB on Pelistry Beach on St Marys - the island I stay on and the B&B we're in is just about 200 yards away from the beach they showed.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Well great news that they have decided my lung is definitly another breast secondary and not a new one this means that they can get treating it and that l am not in such imminent of popping off.
I am going to be starting chemotherepy soon as can be arranged-it was great as went from lung doctor then he got oncologist so all was tied in and done so caringly.
Feel lighter -know as oncologist said its still terminal but can be held at bay easier so to me its like christmas!!!
thanks so much for all your support and loving thoughts-so appreciated.
xxxx:j this money saving is such fun:T0 -
sharon What good news. Thrilled that you have such a caring team looking after you and you must feel a great relief to be able to start chemo quickly.

sharon thats great news.
cwtathat wa snice of you to go take your dad out and give up your day to yourself.
bz hows mil today? seems like it will be beneficial to ahve the nurse in frequently checking on her, mayb take a tad of the pressure of ou. dont forget to take time of from visiting/being taxi etc to rest...you cannot overdo it and exhaust yourself this close to the big day.
lw i swear they are massive this year, i never knew such big ones existed, which is partly why i questioned if they even were moth.
this mornings moth was abandoned on my bed, after she had let it fly around my bedroom and chased it to 99%dead. barely even fluttered when i scooped it into box to be dumped outside. ive decided she is bringing them to whitney, since if whintey is downstairs they stay downsatirs, otherwise they go to my bedroom. she hadnt killed this one enough to stop it flying either so i ended up under the duvet..think i woke th eneighbours baby too ooops.
im assuming its mr ginger who is using the catflap when i move about upstairs and its deff not mine. think he is going out when he hears me. he better not have fleas or anything nasty.0 -
I didn't have to fight the six year old after all. I think he got bored of waiting on me and went home
Honestly, aren't kids cheeky nowadays!!
When I was a kid I was always scared of adults and the whole street was scared of my mum! She had a reputation that said she beats kids with a rolling pin :rotfl: I don't know how that rumour started, she never even laid a finger on us (discounting the hairbrush smack to the head if we moaned:D) never mind other kids but if my mum told the kids in the street to do something they did it :rotfl:
Thanks sue, I'm gonna wait and see if it settles down. It might be a case of the benefits outweighing the negatives iykwim.
My mate is being a good samaritan and collecting DD1's prescription and my sick note from doc's for me. Not having a car is only bothering me when it comes to things like that or shopping.
I've stuffed my face for the past couple of days too. I got a chocolate cheesecake for the weekly girls tea that we do at different peoples houses except I wasn't well enough to go. I did tell them to come and get it as they were only in the next street but they didn't and it had to be eaten along with a big bag of maltesers. I wouldn't mind but I don't have a sweet tooth normally. Then the window cleaner dumped a load of "little stars" pouches on me that need to be eaten today and he gave me eight boxes!!! I've been like the pied piper on this street today!!
Well I shall stop procrastinating now and go clean my cupboards *sigh* I need to something productive with my day. Was in bed at nine last night so I should be rested, although my sleep was interrupted a few times.
Off I pop :wave:0 -
Sharon that's great news! Let's hope they can get the chemo started pronto.
Pcl I think there's some sort of Mighty Moth evolving! It's bad if we open the patio doors after dark (I have hot flushes like you wouldn't believe and need the door open a lot) cos we get just about every flippin' moth in Milton Keynes in here.
Kass you put me to shame; my kitchen cupboards need cleaning out, but I think I'll wait til Mr LW is here to help.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

black paw Your angel is obviously really good! Maybe you can get it to shoo away the Genetically Modified moths?!
I've been doing some housework but have just gone into "flop mode" so ironing stuff will have to wait until tomorrow. I can do it while we chat.
