Ooh, House Fairies - that sounds mega-scary to me! But then, I have Mr LW to do the heavy jobs.:D Sharon if he tried to rule me, he'd soon get told he's "going without" for a fortnight!;):D 'Nother one here wants to see pics of the quilt and the sampler, please.:o
Kass cut yourself some slack, gal, it takes new meds a while to kick in, and your body has to get used to the change.
BZ I know what you mean about "some" friends. I've known people who just drained me so much I had to gently ease them out of my life. Hooray for dogs!:D
Have a good time on the hen night, whatever else happens. I'll be there in spirit (mine's a large vodka & tonic).;)
CwtA not sure about the sore butt cheek (unless there's a major PITA in your life at the mo?:D) but you know as well as I do about the fatigue - you've just moved house, !!!!!!, and you've been pushing yourself - this is your body telling you to STOP for a bit. Sorry to hear of the worries with your dad - you can only do so much, don't beat yourself up.
Molly's dreaming as I type - she's lying on the carpet, her feet are twitching, and she keeps making little "oof, oof" noises. I wouldn't be surprised if she's reliving chasing the squirrel out of the garden yesterday.:rotfl:If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
sharon hoep the mcmillan nurses help tomorrow, its not fair the should leave you hanging and worrying so
cwta yikes just one cheek? that seems odd. when does your dads wife get back?
bz think i forgot to say earlier friends culling of those who drain us or are umm emmotionally bad for us is something that must be done periodically, but remember to allow for stress and upheaval affecting them as well as you and figure out how much is due to that and how much is just them being crappy and wont change without the stress if that makes sense?
kass she quoted me 9.50 an hour. small house so will onl need a couple of hours a week, and they will keep on top of windows, fridge, oven etc as well as inside cupboards and all the things that i havent even attempted or thought of cleaning much (like skirting boards). i did have these ones in when i moved and it cost 150quid then to get the empty house spring cleaned top to bottom. i think my sister pays more liek 15quid an hour (london though) as she suggested it would be minimum that much for me. she also said they would do things like change my bed and iron if i wanted.
apparently they are trying to abolish dla and aa, or discussing abolishing them.

Just come back from taking Molly-Dog out, and I fell over getting from the scooter to the front door.
No major damage, at least I don't think so, but a bruised and scraped knee, and jarred back, and feeling decidedly shaky.:(If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
lw Ooh you poor thing. It does leave you shaky doesn't it. Lots of Molly dog cuddles will help you feel better. Aren't they funny when they're dreaming. Hope there's no lasting damage to knee or back.
Maybe a soothing massage from Mr LW? *g*
I've taken the telling off on the chin and I do know you are right *g*
I just need to keep going for a little longer, but will slow things down a bit.
I've located the book on bread so will get it in the post to you tomorrow.
pcl Stella is back on 14th August so a while yet and I've got s/e staying from 13th before we set off to the Scillys on 15th, so hectic at the moment. Dad seems a lot better today and I spoke to him honestly about the amount I have to do here and how helpful it would be to have him come over here so I can get on and he agreed.
bz Totally agree with a friends cull. No point in having people around who sap your precious energy or cause complications or ructions in your life.

How's Whitney Puddy-cat today, btw?If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
i always forget about witch hazel for some reason....
whitney, well the steroids have kicked in and she is eating up a storm, and most demandingly disgruntled that each demand is not met with fresh cat food in her bowl. havent heard her being sick again, nor have i found any more piles so im assuming that for now i can stop worrying, she should go a good 3 weeks, prefably more after this steroid before needing it again. its amazing how quickly they do kick in and make her feel better though, she spends a few hours sleeping then is back to herself. you would think i would quit worrying about it every time really, admitedly i did worry less when she stopped loosing weight and that stayed stable. and as my mother oh so helpfully pointed out last night, she is old and ont he way out and was i sure i was doing the right thing. think i reasured her on that one by reminding her i did the right thing for other cat when i was 12.0 -
Pcl of course you worry about her; she's your furbaby! I'm glad the steriods are doing her some good. It's heartbreaking when they're not well, you feel so helpless. And even if she is elderly, she still deserves the best life she can have, and you're giving her that, so take no notice of what anyone else says. (I get the feeling the unspoken meaning was that you should have her put down; my friend has had that sort of comment from people, and she takes no notice of them; her animals always seem happy, even if the elderly among them are a tad doddery.)If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

pcl It's only the owners who really know when the time is and the cat tells them. Of course you will be worried even when she is doing better. I suppose it feels like being on tenterhooks, sortta waiting for her to show signs of being under the weather. She's a luck puddy to have such a loving and caring [STRIKE]owner in you[/STRIKE] staffI must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0
