lw, sorry - hope you feeling better today. I do find flat coke handy for upset tummy, or rehydration salts when you start to feel a little better? Peppermint tea can help too. Give Molls a cuddle for me.
    Thanks; she'll accept all cuddles.:D

I'm a lot better, ta muchly, I think it was just one of those stupid 24-hour things. Peppermint tea is wonderful I think. And plain cream crackers for when I can start coping with a little food again.

LW - I hope you had a good Lammas/Lughnasadh, do you know, it came and went without me even realising  which goes to show how out of it I have been.
Thanks, we enjoyed it, and Molly was here with us, which was a bonus. I'd made Birsay biscuits and a quiche and a cherry pie, and we picked a scooter-basket-full of cherry plums when we took Molly for a walk.
Mr LW ended up jamming them on Sunday cos I wasn't well enough, bless him.

I hope you can get your meds/procedures/pain clinic appointment sorted out soon, it's nothing short of torture, what ou're going through lately from the sound of it.

Btw, Mr LW has a Round Tuit on his desk...... doesn't seem to help much, though.:D

BZ I guess you'll probably have seen the fang farrier by now. I hope you've got something organised to get you sorted out.

How's the underwear shopping going? (Says she who's been putting off underwear shopping for the longest time!)

Pcl How's Whitney today? Poor little lass; it's difficult to explain to them why you're taking them to the vet, isn't it?

LOL Typical - Mr LW just rang me and everything else I was going to say has now gone clean out of my head. :rotfl:

Oh well, it'll come back if it was important.....:D

    *crashes*

srsly. dog-tired. didn't get any sleep last night either. but, saw the pain management consultant this morning, and he has decided that we need me to build up more of a tolerance to Lyrica so I don't get the bad daytime-sleepy side-effect. I may, however, scream like a banshee if I start gaining weight from it again - it's hard enough for me to lose weight without that added. *sigh* Anyway, he's also sent a request to my doc for me to be prescribed a muscle-relaxant-!!!-anaesthetic that they use in the maxillofacial clinic for TMJ pain, and hope that will work.

*Grabs earplugs in preparation for Banshee-like screams*.

Oh Trialia, I hope they can get your meds sorted out. How do you go about building up a tolerance?:confused:Wouldn't that make the meds less effective? The muscle relaxant/anaesthetic thingy sounds hopeful - good luck with it

Thanks for the link Unity, dd told me about it yesterday but I'd forgotten to check her site. It's such a shame that some idiot posted it on the net and ruined it for her fans, maybe one day she'll decided to start again.

cwta Im sorry about your Dad, and understand how upsetting it must have been for you. (((hugs)))

pcl I hope Whitney recovers soon. My aunt put a collar with a bell on her cat hoping it would warn birds so he couldn't catch them.....it didnt work ;)

lw Glad your feeling better now

Trailia Ive had to stop taking Lyrica because despite being on the highest dose I had started getting nerve pain breaking through again and I couldn't cope with the fatigue and muscle twitches that I got with it. Id put on half a stone while I was on it, but lost it within 2 weeks of stopping it. If it had been still working I would have kept taking it despite the added problems. I hope the muscle relaxant helps.

DD's taking me to visit Dad in hospital tomorrow, as he's been moved to one thats over an hours drive away and its too far for me to drive, he's still trying to recover from the op he had 2 weeks ago, but he had 2 major ops in a few weeks so it's going to take time I suppose. Im looking forward to seeing him.

Suep best wishes for your dad, hope he's feeling a bit better.

Nice to see you Raeh. Sooner you than me with the shoe shopping. I hate doing that for myself, let alone if I had children to have to do it for!

  • Goodness you have all been chatty. bz You seriously need some decent medical professionals in your area - what a pain in the butt! I think I would have been tempted to return the X-Rays to the Dentist in the post *g*

Quiet day here with Dad who is very sheepish about yesterday - so long as that stops him drinking again, I'm all for it. Staying for an early dinner with him tonight and then will go home again.
Pal is building me a raised bed in the back garden for me to grow veggies in (stop me if I've told you this before) so I may delight you with piccies of how garden has changed. I'm quite excited at the prospect.
    Hugs to everyone.
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D
