Thanks - I had hoped so, but my bad tooth decided to flare up and send my jaw muscles into spasms, so no sleep for me tonight, arg. X_X; I hate to say it, but I'll be glad when it's gone.

may i please scream? my kitchen flooring is messed up again, i thought it was because i spilt water last week and decided i was ignoring the cracks in the laminate. but its still wet, walking on it is squeezing water out. both times before when this has happened its been my washing machine leaking, this time its wet in front of the sink (next tot he washer) and behind the washing machine so i suspect its the sink rather than washer, blinkin hope so anyway i really do not want washer to be leaking for the third time in three years.
  • Tria Sounds like you had a good time. Can I just say Hubba, Hubba to the nice young man on the right of the photo? *g* Hope the tooth setles down soon.

pcl I feel for you, particularly having been through the same thing myself recently - so frustrating and almost had my in tears of frustration at the end. Can you borrow a dehumidifier from anyone? Or get a cheap one from Argos (although I could never suggest using it and then returning it under their 14 day guarantee).
Time to call in someone to have a look? Does your local Council have a Handyman scheme where they will do jhobs cheaper for anyone on applicable benefits?
    Hugs to you.

if its the sink my landlord will pay, and hopefully replace the flooring as well, if its the washer ill get my blokey to come fix it, he fixed it last time for free bless him. (actually she mighjt pay regardless)got plumber coming (the one that did the shower) sometime today to have a look, figure he will be able to tell me what it is that is leaking and i can go from there. pipes behind washer are all dry, but the floor is soaking, more so at the cupboard/sink side. inside cupboard appears ot be dry, its not the u-bend. times like this is when i wish i ahd a blokey around.

  • pcl Hope you get it sorted quickly. I agree that it's times when things like that are happening that having a bloke around is handy.

Tria Do you have a dentist appointment booked? Would antiflybotics help?

sue Have kept meaning to say - next book is publishes in October - if you want to get it that would be good? I must admit the last 2 didn't grab me as much, but it may well have been my mood at the time of reading them.

Getting the cat flaps sorted out today - a great relief to both me and Lita. Something happened with her in the back garden last night. I think it may have been another cat as she had a tail like a bog brush, but she came in and there were spots of blood on the kitchen floor - I think maybe from a paw? She seems absolutely fine at the moment and I don't have a full suit of armour that would enable me to have a look, so will just keep my eye on her for the next few days.

I don't - I was in the dental hospital for an appointment about a week ago, I'm still waiting for the letter to tell me when the appointment they're making for me will be, and then I have to go into the hospital and get two teeth taken out under general anaesthesia (this one being one of them). I doubt antibiotics would help since the issue is that it's making my jaw muscles cramp...

Hi all, I didnt get a chance to get on here yesterday, we went out for a pub lunch with ds1 and his family and by the time we got home I was too tired to do anything.

pcl I make banana bread without eggs, I have a recipe from a vegan site and it's lovely. Thats one thing I dont miss about having cats, the dead and alive things the bring in, mine used to bring in live mice and birds and let them go

Sharon Well done on finishing the quilt :T
