    Hi
Managed to get Router going again, but who knows for how long.
Thanks pcl - I got rid of my last router on freecycle, I should have kept hold of it!
Can I just say that Sky BB is carp! I'm gonna go back to Virgin asap.
Went to a gardens yesterday after a lovely pub lunch - got absolutely soaked, but enjoyed it all the same and then dinner out at fave Thai Restaurant as the "Official" celebration for Dad's 85 b'day - we go there so often that the staff got Dad a B'day card which I thought was lovely. He was really touched.

Hugs to you all - missing chatting to you and catching up on all your news, but hope to get back online again tonight.

Hi CWTA - I have our old Sky router if it is any good to you? Let me know and I'll get it in the post this week. It's a couple of years old but is working okay within the limitations of Sky of course :o . I am so glad we switched to Virgin - I can get a connection sitting in the conservatory and everything downloads so much faster. I can't believe it's also cheaper!

Im having one of those really sleepy days today, and after waking up at 7.15  I had to go back at 10.30 as I was so shattered and slept for another hour. My brains on strike too, even more than usual , so I cant think of anything to say. Luckily we have no visitors today and dh has a hangover so I can do what I do best....relax ;)
Hope your all having a good day

Oh dear, I really must stop skimming the thread - I read that first bit as "I got rid of my sister on Freecycle".

Crossword comps? Where are they? I get sooo jealous at hearing of all your wins on comps and keep meaning to ask where you get them all from. Please spill!!!
Kass, they're the ones in the Daily Telegraph. :confused:The ones on Saturday are prize crosswords - one general knowledge and one cryptic.:o

I'm cream crackered now - what a busy day.
    Been to Tesco's.
Finished off 40th anniversary card for landlord and landlady of pub.
    Finished making next year's calendar.
Baked bread rolls, quiche, apple pie and sultana & spice buns.
Transferred wolf pics onto memory stick which acts as our photo album.
Transferred pics from "Picnic at the Pub" onto CD to hand to aforementioned landlord.
Put me foot behind Mr LW to get him to do the weekly check of the car (oil, tyres, washbottle, that sort of thing).
Currently having a time-out before putting stabilising stuff into elderflower wine - hoping to bottle it in 3 or 4 weeks time.

Right - back into the fray.......

    Hi everyone,

I feel crap today - used all my spoons ans then some at the church fete yesterday. I've had to spend most of the day in bed so I didn't get to Milton Keynes after all. It's so frustrating.

Sorry for not mentioning anyone but my brain and hands aren't co-operating today.

:j this money saving is such fun:T
  • I'm incredibly tired and peopled out and brain is ceasing to function.
Thank you for Dad's Birthday wishes lw that was really sweet! Blimey you've achieved tonnes this weekend!

sharon what a lovely idea to have a scone comp! If you taught DD1 to cook you can still take the credit *g*

Unity I would love the Sky Router sometime if it's not too much trouble please? But only if you either let me pay postage or send you books in lieu of?
Just whenever you get round to it will be great - thank you.

Had a bit of an emotional afternoon as took Mum's ashes down to Perranporth to scatter them. Hit me quite hard and I was everso teary. I think it was partly coz I managed to fall over on the way there and sprain my ankle and get lovely swathes of gravel rash on my hand and arm. Does falling over make anyone else want to cry? I think with me it's the shock?

Hi to everyone I haven't mentioned specifically - not forgotten you, just concentration is shot.
Hope you all have a lovely sleep tonight and find an intact batch of spoons tomorrow.
