Fibromyalgia (part 2)

Hi everyone,
I'm gradually getting to know posters but I hope people don't mind if I don't reply to many posts until I find my way around better.
You can't be far away from me LW - i'm 35 mins from MK if the traffic on the A421 is co-operative, as I said on OS I'll be there on Sunday.
Hope Whitney is better soon Cat - we're dog people I'm afraid, although our present one is convinced she is human.
Enjoy the zoo Sharon.0 -

BZ glad your niece is home - she'll convalesce much better in her own familiar surroundings. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
I think she will too Lw.
Well, my stupid sister has sent an email round to the siblings and parentals about her (very) vague plans for her faux wedding in Israel for Sept/Oct this year. I'm still less than impressedDoes she really think that there's any chance on God's green earth that I'll be going to Israel in September? Before the wedding I'd be too knackered for my own, and stuff wouldn't get done. After the wedding we'll be on honeymoon. Then there's the matter of DF getting yet more time off work (for not just one job, but two!) having already taken time off for our wedding and honeymoon.
Not to mention the added expense of flights and hotel rooms etc straight after paying for our wedding.
Suggestions people?
P.s. Don't worry snoozer it took me ages to work out who everyone was!:o"I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
BZ it's a tough one - if it was my sister (and bear in mind I don't actually have a sister) I'd probably tell her that logistically it is just not possible for me to attend, and that's all there is to it. I'm not the best person to be sticking my oar in though, as I don't do family gatherings of any sort.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

thats crap of her bz id be inclined to say there is no way i can go at that time, for all the reasons you mention. id think it was very inconsiderate of her to arrange something so close to my wedding too, fair enough if there was a very good reason, but iirc there is not in this case.
i now have miss whitney home, she went straight for her food, all the other tests they ran came back fine as well. the abnormalities can be explained by other things, or are not enough out of normal range to ahve any real significance given the other tests did come back negative. he said if they got those results in a 2 year old cat they would be very happy and they are ecstatic given her age. i guess its been the weather that has made her be so off lately too then since there is no other explanation. so very relieved that they were all fine.0 -

kass I got the bath handle from QS. If there isn't one near you, I can easily pick one up and post it to you? Hope your friend's Mum is OK - bet she's sore this morning.
Before my Nephew went into a residential home (he's quite severely Autistic) he used to jump into bed with me in the morning when I stayed there - I loved it. We had to discourage it as he got older as it's not really appropriate behaviour; shame as I missed the morning cuddles.
I've never heard of QS. I'll have a look near me and see what sort of price they are. By the time the postage is paid then it might not be worth it but thanks Auntie Axe xxxx
I hate all that pc carp. I remember when I was a teenager, I had to attend group therapy sessions - as part of the agreement for the authorities not to charge her with me not going to school - and as soon as they found out that I sometimes slept with my mum when my dad worked away, they started asking my mum questions and saying it was innapropriate  I loved my mum and we used to listen to James Whale and laugh and chat while we were going to sleep, what the eck is wrong with that??? It gets my goat that they make people feel like they are doing something wrong when I think it's a natural thing to want to be close to the ones you love :mad:purplecatlover wrote: »k they got the bloods with out having to sedate her. couple of minor abnormalities but main thing is its not her kidneys and the minor things are not bad enough to be a problem. i can go get her at 4:30. feeling much more relieved now, and so glad its not her kidneys going. thanks everyone
kass im almost scared to try the vacuum, its got a really powerful suck and i dont fancy loosing keys into it. though crumbs seem to have moved now i am not having to fo back and add spaces anymore. ill find another letter later thats not working properly instead im sure. i did have a mini vacuum supposedly for computers but it was worse than useless.
kass how was the hospital?
Aaaw, glad she's ok love.
If you want to vacuum anything that's delicate or small, put some tights over the end of the tube and it should still suck up dust n stuff but act like a filter.
Hospital was ok thanks. They said I should try pregabalin as I'm on gabapentin atm and she said they have had more success with the former. She's referring me to physiotherapy and said I need it for both the fibro and the hypermobility. She said I'm at the top of the scale for hypermobility. I didn't think it was that bad. I showed myself up a bit though when she asked if I was good at gymnastics when I was young and I exclaimed "Yeah, how did you know!!!" :rotfl: Then it clicked why she was asking
She is also referring me to the fibro clinic, whatever that is. I've not heard of it
Friends mum is ok. She has to go back next week as it's too swollen to see if her nose is broken or what damage she has done
DS1 has got swine flu so the poor lad is in isolation for the next week which means he won't see his school friends before they break up for the hols. Poor pig boy0 -
Busy day! Phew!
Have visitors from out of the County until Tuesday so if I'm carp at posting on here or replying to emails, that's my excuse. *g*
Can't keep up or process what's been said, so will be back later when I've rested for an hour or two in a nice hot bath.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
!!!!!! a teen sleeping with her mother when her father is away is inappropriate? for crying out loud is all i can say about that.
bz did you say wheteher mil2b got the drain removed eventually or not? sorry if you did and ive missed it. hopefully they wont take too long sorting out the ot (yeah right).
cwta dont exhaust yourself too much with them, and dont forget to take you time away from them, even if it is only by going to bed in the afternoon or something.
my sister is coming down with a cold, the day after a work colleague announced his kids school had swine flu.0 -
Sorry pcl I think I mentioned being at hospital with her for a while last week (friday I think?) from fairly early morning for her to get her drain out, and then had another appt at another hospital building across town straight after, where they told her that "chronic renal failure" isn't always as scary as it sounds...apparently they say that about you even if you've "just" had a kidney out. Sharon I hope you had a lovely day at the zoo. I use either a wheelchair or electric scooter when I go anywhere that involves too much walking, even if I can manage to walk, I'll end up in bed for days after so it's not worth it.
pcl Im glad Whitneys ok, I know what you mean, Diamonds the same age as our last dog was when she died, and it is a worry. Theres no comparisson though, Diamond is still very playful and is very healthy.
Kass Poor DS1  I hope it's very mild and he's feeling better soon.
BZ Im glad your niece is home. I agree with you for not going to your sisters wedding, it does seem silly she's booked it for so near your own, Im sure shes got her reasons ! You just have to do whats right for yourself and DF.
Good news, they are letting Dad home for the weekend :j He's got to go back on Monday as they want to re-do all the tests, also his temperature is down at last, so Im looking forward to a quiet and calm weekend  ( not likely in this house)
I hope everyone has a good weekendReal stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.
