Sharon - It's awful when you have built yourself up to going for the results only to find they can't tell you anything. Would you like me to send you my crystal ball?
I'm sure it would be of more use than these 'experts'. I just hope they sort things out asap and get you on the right treatment. If they can stabilise the situation and control the pain then it's most of the battle and you can enjoy some quality time with your family and friends without having these questions going round and round in your head.
Suep - I will certainly be recording the whole series of True Blood, so if CWTA's disc doesn't play on your DVD perhaps mine will. I've been through various sites to watch it on-line and gone through the screen freezing, not to mention the links that only have half an episode uploaded. In fact last week I downloaded it from Megavideo, only to subsequently discover their link was wrong and I'd got an episode of 'Weeds' instead . When I did manage to download it, Megavideo logged me out as it stated I had already watched 72 minutes of video that day:mad:. These things are sent to try us.
I think we are supposed to get some good weather tomorrow, although the weekend is supposed to be windy and rainy . I hope it clears up by Tuesday as DD2 is calling in on her way to a few days walking the Pennine Way - of course I will be going with her and running most of it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
I'm off to bed and hoping I get a better night's sleepSome people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever

Just a late addition - pcl when Lita was at the vets for the day when I moved - various things like claw clipping and vaccinations - they had to sedate her, but she "free feeds" on dry food and I had "forgotten" about starving her and they "forgot" to mention it. They can still sedate, but it does bviously increase the risk. Fingers crossed all is well.
Hope you're all sleeping peacefully - I'm off to bed in a coupla mins.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
well im the cruelest cat parent around, whitney wants food and is demanding it, chloe comes running everytime i go into the kitchen too.
had a slight panic at 3ish am, i heard chloe come in the cat flap, and come upstairs and was sure she had jumped on the bed. then i heard her scrabbling to gte in the drawer underneath and thought thats weird. whit was under my blanket curled up purring and keeping warm so chloe normally would have come and walked on her or poked her to make her come out and stop suffocating. then i heard something rattling and thought oh chloe has fpound a toy with a bell or soemthing. which would be impossible in this house, so i then thought hope she hasnt caught something that ratlles thinking what coould it be, frogs scream, mice dont rattle....turned on the light and it was a ginger cat with a bell on its collar sat on th efloor in my room by chloes scratch post. he ran to the top of the stares when i looked at him, and i tried calling him, folowed him downstairs and he was calmly sat by the catflap until i turned the kitchen light on when he camly went out. whilst i still cpouldnt sleep i decided the rattly noise had sounded like a cricket in the end.
of course because i had come downstairs whitney thought i was feeding her and followed me down only to follow me back up and start headbutting and purring and begging again, poor thing.
i have never seen the ginger cat before, i didnt think any other cats knew i had a catflap the could get in, and he isnt normally in the back gardens, i shall ask around and see if any of the neighbours no where he lives.
kass did you manage to sleep? have you heard how she is now or if she did go to the hospital in the end?
cwta im almost positive they wont be sedating her, i told him i would prefer they didnt risk it and under no circumstances were they to risk a general anaesthetic, and he promised they would call me before doing anything like that, so i really hope they do so and that she is good and lets them poke her without needing anything.0 -
:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: They're cheeky little gets cats aren't they. The first day here I had a bengal come in and check me out. Looking me up and down he was
I've not heard anything yet. Her daughter is going up this morning and I told her that I would take her to minor injuries this morning but I think her daughters dad is going up with her (they split years ago but are still good mates) so if he does then he can take her as I have to be at the hospital at the other side of Leeds at 11am as well as take my dad some snap at 10am at his work. I did manage to sleep though. I have the comfiest bed in the world and DS2 was in bed with me (haven't managed to bring his bunk beds over yet) and I always sleep better if there is someone with me. Waking up to cuddles and "I love you mummy" just sets me up for the day
careful, could you tell me where you got that bath handle from, there might be one near me and I could do with one to steady myself in the shower. I'm always a little scared since my little accident before. Also, what is this series you're all talking about? I do remember it being mentioned but hey, I don't have to explain why I don't have a clue now do I?
Morning all!!!!0 -
Well the sun is shining this morning and DD2 is taking me out for the day to Bristol ZOO.This should keep my mind occupied for the day.Have given in to family pressure and we have booked a wheel chair-my first-feel a bit mixed about this-uneasy as its the first of many but also know its going to make the trip easier and more pleasurable for us both.DD2 thinks its great fun and threatening to set me free on slopes!
thanks for your support for yesterdays hospital trip.
Hope everyone else has a nice day.Kass that must have been scary seeing her fall-face and lips always bleed a lot which makes things look worse.:j this money saving is such fun:T0 -
sharon enjoy the zoo
kass meant to say, true blood is (so i have gathered) a tv series based on the vampire books written by charlaine harris. im mixing them up a little in my head with kelly armstongs otherworld series of books though so i cant tell you any more about them,(unless they are the series thatinvolved a waitress called sooky or summat like that?) i read both sets at around the same time as my sister discovered them together or close enough to each other that she hadsome of both sets when i next borrowed.
whitney figured out what was going on when i picked her up totake her to the car again, firsttime in ages year she has tried to escape (not trying very hard) rather than just sat on my shoulder nicely.
turnming the puter upside down and hitting the bottom gently has not dislodged the crumbs under my space bar, any other solutions?0 -
Instead of turning the puter upside down, why don't you try turning the keyboard upside down
Have you tried the end of a vacuum cleaner?
Have a great time at the zoo sharon, the wheelchair is a good idea. It will give you more spoons and you need them m'dear.
It was quite scary. Like you say the head area always bleeds more and it was all over and a pool of it on the ground *shudders*
Anyhoo, off to sort me father out with food, check on the accidentee then go to the hospital. I'm a bit nervous cos I don't know what to expect. Bit stupid really as they aren't going to do anything to me.........I think0 -
Sorry pcl, I'm overlooking again! Hope Whitney is ok love.
I'm not gonna sleep tonight. My friends mum had a fall in front of me and the first thing to hit the ground was her face. I helped clean her up and took her home but her nose is all bent and her teeth went through her lip. She wouldn't go to hospital though and she was going a bit funny like she was drunk or something. She had had a drink but wasn't drunk at all so I think she is concussed. I don't like the thought of her being on her own but i can't leave my kids so can't really do anything if she won't go to hospital. Very eventful night.........and I only went back out to pick my dad up!!!
Hey Kass, our posts must have crossed in the ether as I didn't read about your friend's mum until today. I hope she's okay - head injuries always bleed the most even when not serious so I hope it is nothing much.
PCL was right, the series is True Blood and it starts on 17th July on the FX channel. It's a Vampire series set in Bon Temps fairly close to New Orleans. Vampires are members of society since they 'came out of the coffin' and get by on a synthetic blood drink manufactured in Japan called 'True Blood' (it even comes in different blood group types). The main character Sookie Stackhouse is a telepathic waitress who can hear people's thoughts and she meets vampire Bill Compton who she falls for because (apart from him being good looking) she can't hear what he's thinking
. There's a series of murders, vampires get blamed and it goes on from there. It is based on the Charlaine Harris novels - I've just started the first one and so far I find them much better than the Kelley Armstrong books.
Sharon - enjoy your trip to the zoo, you've got the right attitude to the wheelchair, it will make the day much more enjoyable for everyone as you'll be able to be out for longer for one thing. There's nowt worse than going out for the day, walking so far round the zoo and then feeling you can't go any further. I hope the weather stays fine for you and you all have a great time. I think your idea of a memory box is brilliant :T - I only wish my mum had thought about it, at least I have lots of photos and her wedding ring never leaves my finger.
PCL I hope the mog;) is okay. Do yours sense when you aren't feeling so good? Ours do - especially Samson who is so concerned he head butts my legs more so than usual - which brings tears to my eyes it's such a painful area. Then he'll come and curl up beside me or on my knee - forcing me to rest:rotfl:. DH reckons he's the only one I take any notice of as he obviously knows I need to slow downSome people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever

PCL I do hope Whitney is going to be alright, thats the worse thing about having pets isnt it, they become part of your family and it's heartbreaking when they are ill or pass on.
Yes True Blood is based on the Sookie Stackhouse series, Ive not read it but its on my wish list and will be the next series I buy. Is it bad that my wish list is 3 pages long
Kass That must have been frightening when your friends Mum fell, I hope she's ok and agrees to go to the hospital.
Unity and cwta Yes please, i would love you to record it for me, if they both work I can send one of the copies either back or to someone else if they fancy watching it. Also I'll return any dvds after Ive watched them. Thankyou.
DD passed her final test yesterday and is now officially a qualified hairdresserShes going to go on and do level 3 , it's not required by law, but her salon have very high standards and in the mean time she will be working on the shop floor full time as a junior stylist, shes so happy, no more sweeping up and a good wage at last.
Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.
