Heya all hope you are all ok.

What a day, got up at an early time of 10am i am so pleased with myself, took dog out for his mid day stroll around the block, consultant said 10 mins 4 days a week i need to do this every day but i take it very very slow, OH came over to take me shopping that was a big mistake, although i was good and went slow, i was bent over in agony by the time we got to the checkout and i just wanted to cry.

have decided to bite the bullet and use the shops wheelchairs in future :( i would online shop but i never know what i want until i see things.

OH had a grumble about me n wheelchairs saying since my diagnosis i've said wheelchair lots, but i reminded him that i have spoken several times before Monday about it, he looked a lil guilty then,

called housing today about home adaptions, the number was social services...what? they told me which i think should be passed on to you guys, although you probably know, your district nurse has access to stock and should be able to provide you with a stick or chair if you need it, they just don't advertise it.

also organised an occupation health appointment to access my needs but thats 2 weeks away, but better to organise now i guess rather than leaving it.

back to the sofa and laptop again for me today, back killing me but hey thats normal now.

nn all hope you get your sleep

Ta pcl : I made her agree to speak to the dentist in question in the morning and then ring me to let me know it's been done. Which of course I won't be up for, but at least I'll know if they've rung  I told her in no uncertain terms I wasn't paying for anything til the stupid referal had at least gone through.
To add insult to injury, I got a parking ticket for their faffing about at that appointment too!

Well I'm still awake. And at the moment I don't really care. I was too tense this evening (couldn't quite put my finger on why) and managed to annoy DF before he went to sleep too so I hunkered down with the laptop and headphones going through some of the playlists to sift thru the rubbish versions etc we have....and I've been sifting thru wedding readings.

Bah, I'll sleep later...not like I've got any pressing engagements...

Hi everyone ... I'm back again!
tbh Tobruk I don't think we're any of us ever entirely without pain, but maybe a change in meds may make you more comfortable than you are now.
I know you are right about going back to the doc, and bigzippy said the same. I just feel a bit of a nuisance going to see the doc again and having to say that my body hurts so much now that the meds don't seem to be working! I have to say that the past few months I have been a lot worse and am struggling. I also don't want to admit that I'm not coping very well.

Btw, I rang the dentist for the dental hospital number today...and after giving me the emergency dentist number first (stupid girl) I finally got through to them and they've never even had a referral!! I wouldn't mind quite so much but they've sent me a letter wanting payment for "treatment" which was actually just me going in to get them to refer me to the dental hospital which they haven't done!! I rang back and told the stupid girl, who by the way is from somewhere far far away (and no I don't mean -in this instance- another planet ) and can barely understand me, or be understood, and she said that there was nothing on my file about a referral but she only had that I have the outstanding amount due for "treatment". I did of course explain in no uncertain terms that no treatment took place and the only thing that I came for was a referral - which she hasn't even done!! Imbeciles!!

Other than that I'm just peachy.

How much do they say you owe BZ?

Is it the £16.20 check-up fee, or more? To do a referral, they would have had to do a check-up at least - to check the condition requiring referral, and to refer you to the most appropriate person.

A patient would usually pay the fee at the end of the appointment.
    How to find a dentist.
    1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
    2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
    3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
    4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.
  • Thank you for your usual helpfulness Toothsmith. You're a bit of a star!

Up at 6.30 this morning but decided to go back to bed and slept til 9.30. Re-arranged today so Mystery shop is earlier, then lunch with Dad and that'll give me the afternoon to potter.
I MUST STAY OFF EBAY TODAY!!!
bz Shame about the sleeping, but you do actually have to take the sleeping tablets for them to work *g*. As you say, you can at least catch up and sleep hen you need to.
    Hugs to all.

btw Toothsmith, bz has a recurring abcess - please confirm to the scardy cat (grin) that she'll feel soooo much better when it has been sorted out as it really seems to have been grumbling under and dragging her down.
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

    Tons better!

I have 2 or 3 patients with fibromyalgia. It's never really been an issue with any of them dental-wise - apart from a bit of trouble getting comfy in the chair sometimes.

I appreciaite the nature of it can be different in different people though.

kass i mean tot ask the other day, did your son get of on his trip ok? it was normal school time he ahd to be there and he didnt get left behind?

cwta enjoy your quiet, relaxing afternoon and find something else to browse so you stay away from ebay. probbaly a sensible idea to go back to bed, its good you managed a few more hours sleep.

i have discovered a problem with my hair being red....since red and pink dont go that means i cant wear any of my pink tops right? (which annoyingly means i have to do laundry more frequently) what other colours will clash? shades of purple?
