Forgot to say that I also got some codeine on its own to top up the co-codamol. Mighty relieved at that as have been meaning to ask about that for ages.
Hope you are all doing well today.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Paparika Awwww, Perry is such a beautiful little chap. Furbabies are wonderful, aren't they. I'm so looking forward to July 31st, when I get Molly-Dog for 9 days again.:o
Auntie Axe I hope you can get the jolly old ganglion sorted out. I had one years ago, and the docs refused to do anything about it. I ended up whacking it with the flat side on the then husband's American football encyclopaedia!
Kass good luck with the move. As long as you have kettle, mugs and tea bags handy, you'll be fine!:D
Pcl I think it's the heat affecting our brains - I can't get my head round stuff at the moment either.
BZ d'ya want me to make a poppet of your GP? I have plenty of pins.....*evil laugh*
I'm mega-bored today. Highlight of the day was hand-washing, in cold water, a dress with cherry-stains on it. Is this what my life is reduced to?:DIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
lw if you're bored, what do you most enjoy doing? Baking, Ice Cream making? Looking up recipes on t'interweb? Sitting and reading with your feet in a bowl of cold water (I love that *g*).
You made me chuckly with the poppet comment - shall I draw you up a list of people?
Although I swore I was gonna keep the rest of this week quiet, I've accepted another job on Friday - I had to really; I've spent far too much money on ebay the last coupla days *g*I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Hi folks. Feel a bit guilty not keeping on top of folk's stories, but just don't have the time at the moment!
Just dropping in to let you know the latest with the DLA saga. Reconsideration turned down. Met with CAB yesterday and saw the medical report. GP's is ok, except that he's written 'I am informed' at one point, which adviser says will be interpreted as 'she said it but I don't believe it' - which I don't think is actually what the GP's saying.
DLA doctor's report is appalling. I have fms, but it doesn't limit me in any way apparently. He does, however, think I'm depressed. Which is funny since my GP's report says I'm extremely positive. And apparently I lied in the medical about not being able to put my shoes on. And I spend my days watching daytime TV (even though I work fulltime and haven't seen daytime TV in YEARS). I can easily walk 200m allegedly and don't show any evidence of pain. I enjoy recreational swimming (even though it's prescribed, it's not recreational, and I told him it's generally a huge struggle). In one line he says the condition is severe and in the very next line he says the condition is mild. The man is clearly blind and deaf because he has neither seen nor heard me.
So the next step is to see my GP and see if they'll write another letter supporting me. If not, it seems, I'm !!!!!!ed, because it'll be my word against this doctor's, and they generally side with the dr...
I get to add this to my other current battle with my employer - see the post on disability and legal rights!0 -
Oh, except to say: Paparika. I'm SOOOO jealous. He's gorgeous.0

cwta hope the extra painkillers help, and the fixes for the carpel tunnel dont take foreveer to get organised.

Have been meaning to say since I was offline, I saw in The Range some cheap(ish) wheelchairs and electric scooters, starting with a lightweight-type one at £150.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -
Btw, I rang the dentist for the dental hospital number today...and after giving me the emergency dentist number first (stupid girl) I finally got through to them and they've never even had a referral!!
I wouldn't mind quite so much but they've sent me a letter wanting payment for "treatment" which was actually just me going in to get them to refer me to the dental hospital which they haven't done!! I rang back and told the stupid girl, who by the way is from somewhere far far away (and no I don't mean -in this instance- another planet ) and can barely understand me, or be understood, and she said that there was nothing on my file about a referral but she only had that I have the outstanding amount due for "treatment". I did of course explain in no uncertain terms that no treatment took place and the only thing that I came for was a referral - which she hasn't even done!! Imbeciles!!
Other than that I'm just peachy."I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0 -
