Tobruk I know exactly what you mean - it's far too warm for me, and I feel like a week-old cabbage, physically and mentally! Welcome back, btw.:o
Thanks LameWolf. If it gets warmer (as they are predicting) I shan't be moving at all!

BZ imho your GP is talking out of his @rse. Surely to goodness, a wheelchair to allow you to do the "big" outings without wrecking yourself would allow you so much more freedom (ie energy) to do more other things.:confused:Or am I totally missing the point? *Mumbles cynically about "NHS Bean Counters"*.
Nope - you got the point exactly! That's exactly why I wanted one. It's so frustrating.

..And you talk about Cwta taking it easy lw? ;)

Well, I'm in two minds about the weather - the brighter it is, the brighter I generally feel (besides migrainous days:rolleyes:) and I want it to be bright and dry on my wedding day and I would quite like a bit of colour/tan for the big day...but I can't bear it when it's too hot and I'm too fat to wear skimpy clothes, quite frankly!! :rotfl:And I'm with you on the limp cabbage/lettuce...:o

There's nothing better than getting up and seeing blue skies and bright sunshine but it's just the heat - I can't function! These days I don't get out of my pyjamas unless I leave the house and on those rare occasions when I return the first thing I do is get undressed - my body hurts. I have co-comamol and pregabalin but recently I have constant aches and pains. I am thinking of going to see the doc about it.

I'm the same tobruk. I live in comfy clothes. I either wear pjs or trackies (the soft acceptable type, not the chav type ;)) or soft loose linen pants, or jeans that are too big and are of the slouchy variety. I'm not very presentable, but I don't usually give a damn!

It's just started CHUCKING it down...so much so that my satellite signal was knocked out!! It better not last!!! (And it's a good job I still have t'internet :p)

  • Ditto to everyone. I love the sunshine and the warmth, but at the best of times I struggle to stay cool enough. Just sitting here typing this, I'm having to mop my face and it makes me feel so grubby. If I go out aswell, I assume people are looking at me and thinking I'm sweating coz I'm overweight.
In the dress sense, I sacrifice style over comfort all the time - people say you shouldn't expose your bingo wings - sod that - I'm doing everything I can to keep cool!

Nice to see you back Tobruk ........
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

I know that feeling all too well dude! :o It's like when you get a pastie or something and you're convinced people are thinking "that's how she got that way"...

If the drowned washing and knocked out satellite weren't enough...the neighbour knocked on my front door and told me my roof(s) was open on my car...the inside is now DRENCHED. *SIGH* Hmph. I now have a mobile paddling pool of anyone's in the market...?

  • Awww bz that is bad luck - what a pain. At least a neighbour told you or it could have gone on for hours.

Landlady just been - she is nice. Her husband is away working for quite a few weeks and she mentioned she gets a bit lost at the weekends so we may get together and have a trip out somewhere one weekend which will be good for both of us.

I can now slob for the rest of the day thank goodness as I am really fatigued.
tbh Tobruk I don't think we're any of us ever entirely without pain, but maybe a change in meds may make you more comfortable than you are now.

I've completely lost what else I was gonna say!
