    Hello :)
    Can I join the group?
A bit of background...I'm 18, I'm off to uni in September to study law and criminology and I'm currently fighting DLA.
I have 'suspected although regularly confirmed' rheumatoid arthritis, spinal strain and am trying to get tested for fibromyalgia, although the doctor I saw proclaimed testing me was 'useless' as I'm already 'poorly enough'!

It gets me down alot, because some days it kills me to move at all. I also struggle because I don't have much support, my parents and I don't talk, so a support group would be really helpful :)

I play tennis when I can, a few times a week, usually in a lot of pain but I try to stay active. I love to cook, and read, and I'm learning Italian.

    So that's me...Hi everyone :)
Of COURSE you can my dear! It'll be nice to have some young blood to mingle in with all these old farts ;):p:rotfl:(I'm one of the youngest at 27 ;)) I have to say tho, you sound far too intelligence for us lot!;) Just chip in when every you like, we all do :D

Glad you had a good time with your dad Auntie Axe and he was on form :)
I'll give the sleeping pills a go when I feel like it ;)

Oh - and the wheelchair service manager rang me again today and left me an answerphone message (what me? Not reply her call cos I was mad/fed up?? Surely not! ;)) asking me to ring her back. So I actually did. And guess what - there was "noone available to take your call"...at like 2.30pm. Ridonculous. I did leave a message like a good girl tho...

Right...don't quote me, but I think I'm now all caught up!

Where is everyone? Have I used the forum's word limit for the day with my catching up..?

pcl have you tried World of Goo? I think it might be right up your alley... I've been dabbling with it the last few days.... You have to use these goo balls to create bridges/towers/ladders (with a bit of physics common sense so they don't collapse) so that the goo balls can travel along the ladder things to the spouts. A bit like Lemmings in reverse...?

Right, having just spent the last two hours playing Neverwinter Nights on the PC, I think I'd better get my backside in gear and see what I can scare up for dins.....:p Have a good evening everyone.

Oh gosh, this is quite addictive! I used to love lemmings...Spent some time today looking up my symptoms online, trying to find something that might ease them. Asked on a forum and a lady from the ME association sent me some leaflets free. I have every single one...it all makes a lot of sense. But what do I do now? My doctor will never reassess me, so shall I mention it to him? But then will he brush it off and think I'm self diagnosing?

I just want it all sorted before uni :'(

Oh, and thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome :) I'll be sure to stick around and try to get to know everyone!

  • Saucy Have you been referred to a Rheumatologist? Don't forget that these days you can choose which hospital you go to (in theory, anyway) so if your current one doesn't suit you, maybe you could be referred to one that will?
I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to break :D

I fell asleep around 6am and woke up about 2pm ish. I was too tense to go to sleep when I got to bed so started listening through the iPod playlists for the wedding to sort the wheat from the chaff.

Did you try the kpix games pcl?
its not so bad not sleeping if you have the energy and will to get things done, and sorting the playlists means one more task to score of your list?

yup tried their games, liked a couple of them and shall go back and replay them at a later date.

I think it's ridiculous that on Income Support you don't need to pay for anything prescription related, but when you're on Incapacity Benefit - which is health related for crying out loud! - you have to pay for them!

makes no sense to me either, being on a health related benefit really should mean you get to not pay for thigns you are more likely to need than people on other benefits.

my email page didnt reload to tell me there were new emails and thus new replies, i thought it had been strangely quiet but i assumed everyone was out enjoying the nice weather.

i will explore that one tomorrow, have never heard of it before.
Damn my fog! I thought there was only Toothsmith's reply and thought it was quiet on here and just found this other page *g*

pcl There must be some other sites that have puzzles you can try? Have you tried deleting the registry key and starting a new free trial?!

i cant blame missing pages/replies on fog, but it is nice to know im not the only one who misses them.

there are i am sure other sites, i will hunt about later or sometime. i was just particularly enjoying that one. i will go back and replay them all again though, when i finish playing their other free trials. when i was at my sisters she told me to sort out ordering their all games cd since it is a good offer, so i got round to doing that today, which means i will finally have the full version of honeycomb hotel again too.
  • pcl The only games I get addicted to are Bejewelled and Dino sommat - can't remember the name. They're both Popcap games. Maybe check out their site and see if anything catches your fancy. Glad you sorted out the cd - worth it if you enjoy them so much that you play them a lot.

loll nah it wasn't the OH m8 that was the problem, i've never seen a man move so fast with a trolley, it's me, and the supermarket is tooo big, decided on frozen chopped onions, got them slowly followed OH and his m8, lost them so headed to the checkouts,

I demand a little corner shop next to my home, that would be miles better :)
