  • bz, great news about the wheelchair. That's gonne be so much help for you. Good with your friend for getting with the programme too. Once you get going, a wheelchair and the occupant weighs nothing.

sharon spending time with friends is great to take your mind off stuff isn't it. Pleased you had a good time.

Julie Welcome. Feel free to laugh, cry and get slightly hysterical with us all. I hope it helps you as much as it's helped me.

trialia You've seemed to have a lot of pain recently - time for a review with the medics do you thnk? Hope life improves for you soon.

    pcl, hope you're OK.

After a day of feeling reet fed up, I've decided to put the house I was going to be moving into behind me (perfect as it was) and accept that it just isn't gonna happen. I'm hoping to get up early tomorrow (yeah right!) and make appointments to see a couple of places that I've earmarked as possibles without comparing them to the place I've lost.

I apologise for being self-absorbed - I'm just doing my best at the moment to stay OK. Anyone I haven't mentioned, I haven't forgotten about you and send you hugs.

    Sleep well all.

decided to clear some of the garage , so put lots of things on the free-cycle group. nice man and van came for some bits, as garage was like jungle , bits to much and heavy for me to move to make tidy ,battled his way in, took what he wanted and tidy it all up , and put in little piles other things for people to collect ,moving heavy things, as hands very painful at mo, just to open the door was terrible, now panic got lots people to collect the stuff, hope i don't get it all muddled up . finding it stress full now. but better a home than te tip , where they would sell the stuff, worn out now and off to beddy nighty nite all xx

Jamla well done for the work on the garage - just listing it all on Freecycle is more than enough to put me off!

    Afternoon all.

Welcome Julie; I think I've seen your name on the Old Style board, haven't I? (or did I dream it? Brain function ain't what it used to be.):o

BZ I haven't really got any pointers re filling in the Blue Badge application - mine is automatic as I get high rate Mobility DLA. Sorry.:(
As regards someone pushing the chair - the ONLY person I trust to do this is Mr LW. Right from Day One we've referred to it as the WolfMobile, and we have a bit of a laugh with it (him running downhill pushing it is ....um...... how can I put this...... well, SCARY!!!!:eek:)

Jamla well done you, getting stuff turfed out and Freecycled.;)

CwtA I hope you find the home of your dreams soon. Obviously the other one wasn't meant to be - and if the landlady mucks you about now, I wonder if you'd have had more problems later on, if maintenance needed doing, and such like?

:hello: to everyone else - gotta run, as I have to put our dins in the oven now (Mr LW working from home today).
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
  • lw thanks for your words. I agree with you about the landlady - she's seriously flaky. Have decided to wait til tomorrow to look for somewhere as the local paper comes out on a Thursday and has really good property pages. If I find somewhere suitable, I intend to say yes there and then and slap my dirty lucre down in cash. There's nothing like the sight of readies to motivate a potential landlord!

jamla Seriously well done on the clear out. We used to have a saying about Mum - She came. She criticised. She left. Hopefully you'll remember this and snigger a little during her visit.

bz The form I filled in for Blue Badge was really short and simple - just say how and why you have problems with mobility. Mine was very straightforward and I got the badge within a week! I even phoned them to say thank you for such fast service.

Am seriously fed up here still. If anyone else was here I'm sure they would slap me for my constant sighing! Still, off to get hair cut in a minute - once I've seen what lw is dishing up for lunch - I may decide to stay and invite myself for grub *g*.

Hope the day is better for those who have been having a pooey time. No offence meant pooh!

LOL Our veggie Shepherd Spy was very nice, actually, CwtA, and we have some left for tomorrow as well. This is intentional, as Mr LW has to work til daft o'clock tomorrow night, so I don't know what time he'll be in, and having a meal I can just shove on plates and nuke seems like a good idea.

Talking of hair appointments, btw, Mr LW has a date with the barber when he finishes work today. SHHHHH..... he doesn't know yet. *evil grin*.

Hello all, is any body else as sick of this flippin rain as me ??????????
