I think I may have overdone it yesterday  everywhere hurts I can barely keep my eyes open and am completely brain dead. Im not budging off the sofa except for trips to the loo and food today.

cwta good luck at the rheumi. Did you see the Martin Clunes programme last night ? He wentt o the Scilly Isles, I couldnt remember what one you went to but they all look idyllic.

I cant remember anything else Ive read, think I might go back to bed for a while.

Jeff Buckley??? But of course dear girl!! I particularly love the Corpus Christi Carol and Lilac Wine and of course Alleluia ;). How weird that he should foresee his own death like that though .
It is weird but I'm a big believer in coincidences. I spent my teenage years with similar tortured souls who all decided in one way or another that they'd be dead by the time they were a certain age. My age was 25. I almost made it, thanks to the meningitis, I was discharged from hospital 2 weeks before my 25th birthday. I'm 43 this year and my fellow harbingers of doom are all still kicking, too. I think so many people predict their own demise that occasionally there will be one who gets it right. That's what I think anyway :o

Unity - there's probably a couple of people I could be persuaded by but I don't remember who they are :rotfl:

Suep - I'm coming out in sympathy with you. I've hardly done anything the last couple of days because I've got a cold. It's only a slight one but I feel like I've been hit by a truck.

    Afternoon all.

My, but you guys have beeen busy over the weekend!

BZ I've had neighbours from hell in the past, too. Well done to DF for sorting it al out so well. Are you any further forward with flowers and rings?

Pcl much sympathy on having blokey in to do the shower - I remember when we had our bathroom refitted. Took a week, and by the end of the second day I was ready for a nervous breakdown!

Suep how's the back today? Sounds to me like the Jungle Gym thingy should carry a health warning for adults! LOL

I've been busy myself - probably overdone it as usual; we visited the brewery on Saturday; got my mobility scooter out, and Mr LW walked, as it's only a mile and a quarter from where we live.

Sunday, I needed some supplies, so we went to the farmers market at Woburn. I don't usually go to that one, as it's on a cobbled square and it's horrid riding the wheelchair over those, but I was in dire need of bread flour and eggs. Got some nice chestnut mushrooms too, so we'll have risotto for dins tonight.

Then last night was the Earthlore moot. The speaker was interesting, if a little difficult to understand for someone as deaf as me.

I hope everyone else had a good weekend. Wasn't Sharon going away? *waves to everyone not mentioned above* Not ignoring you all, but me brain's given out. Cup o'tea time, methinks.

Welcome back Sharon. Sorry to hear that you might have to have chemo. Sounds unpleasant.

You're right about the weather - we got drenched at the farmers market yesterday, and it's rained on and off all day today, so I've got a bathroom full of wet washing that I can't put outside.

Im feeling a bit better than I was this morning, but the comp fixer guy turned up and has taken my laptop to comp hospital  I hate being away from it even more than I hate sitting at the main comp, which is so slow as well as uncomfortable. I just hope I get it back quickly.

LW Sounds like you had a much more civilised weekend than I had, Im keeping my fingers crossed for a quiet bank holiday (another one !)

Sharon Im glad you had a good weekend, and hope that the chemo is succsessful, let me know when it starts and I'll send you some Reiki if you like.

Tiger My DH used to think he'd die at 21, then before he was 30, now he's got a thing about 52, as hes known a few people go at that age ! he might get it right one year, but I hope its not for a long time.
I hope your cold goes soon, I hate being ill .

    Hi Sharon,

I'm also sorry to hear you have to have chemo - but at least the oncologist is still being pro-active. Keep your spirits up, when you can as you know it's been proved that positivity helps with recovery. If the positivity of the people on this thread helps, then you will be better in record time ;)

    Good luck chuck :T.

sharon im glad you had a nice weekend, sorry about the oncologist news though.
  • sharon, shame about the weather but sounds like you had a good time anyway. Sorry to hear you have to have chemo, but I suppose if it gives the best chance of beating this it has to be done. They do seem to be taking good care of you which is lovely.

    :hello: to everyone else.

My brain isn't working tonight as walking the dogs today was waaay to much for me and so I went back to bed when I got home, haven't properly woken up and don't intend to til tomorrow morning/sometime.

    Wishing everyone a peaceful night.
