Hi seaside, thank you so much for passing our messages on, we are all thinking constantly about sharon and our positive thoughts are all going her way :)

saffie i hope things improve for you :( my hubby does get fed up at times with things but he says its more of a frustration at himself that he cant do more to help when im feeling very bad? i think the letter is a very good idea, it will help you to get all those frustrations out as well and maybe without just getting cross [as i know i would do if i tried to talk rather than write?] good luck anyway, i really hope thats the break through you need? :) x

hi lw, i hope you are feeling ok :) and i hope mr lw's tooth was ok too ;)

kass you really made me laugh with your 3some ;)

    welcome fairplay :)

cwta im glad you got antibiotics to make sure your finger heals :) i hope you managed your hair ok, its amazing how one finger can make things so hard?

get that broadband sorted bz ;) its too quiet without you

trialia sorry i missed saying happy birthday :o my head was eslewhere, glad you had a good weekend

you lupie people [i said lupie not loopy ;)] started me thinking quite a while ago as when you read the symptoms mine mirror lupus just as much as fibro if not more but i dont know if im just being a hypocondriac and the gp will laugh at me? its just that all these different things i complain of seem far too much some days for fibro? ... shut me up, im just a total hypocondriac :o

have i missed anyone? as i was so ignorant yesterday im trying to remember everyone today ;) so hello all and i hope its a good day :D
    thanks rhae,xx
  • Morning all!

Well I'm off to my first support group today. I met a lovely woman on-line and she asked me if I would like to join them. I was gonna plan it all out as I don't really leave the house during the week. I used most of my spoons going shopping for tea yesterday so had a rest in the afternoon, then I had to make tea and although I buy ready prepared stuff (diced onions, sliced carrots etc) it still took loads out of me.

Then the bathroom was taken over by my eldest then OH so by the time it was free for me to use it was 9pm. I just didn't have it in me so went to bed instead. It was freezing and my electric blanket has broke so I'm most upset with my little self

Then this morning OH slept in and I had to get up at 6am!!!! to take him to work. Bless him, he works so hard and was saying sorry to me for having to get up :o

Upshot is that most of my spoons have gone for today now  Anybody sick of me using the spoons thing yet :D

Hope you all have super fantastic days.
    xxxx

    Hi Saff,

I often go to sleep with my MP3 player on - playing the sort of music people use for meditation like Phil Thornton, Terry Oldfield etc. I also like listening to the gentle sort of music of Nick Drake and there's a bloke called Will Cookson http://www.willcookson.com/ who I listen to regularly as the music is so relaxing.

Seaside - Thank you so much for taking the time to come on here and let us know about Sharon. I think everyone is in a state of shock at the news as she never even mentioned it was on the cards. I know she will not have wanted us to worry so please pass on our love and thanks again for letting us know. I for one would love to be able to send her a card so if there's any way of doing this do PM me and let me know.

CWTA - I hope the anti-flybotics are working and you finger has stopped throbbing - hearing of things like this make my toes tingle  - always have done since I was very small - my dad used to think it hilarious :D

    Welcome Fairplay.

How's the weather with you lot? It has been snowing steadily for the past few hours here - but it's not too deep yet.

Just thought I'd mention - seeing as how a certain person usually corners the market on the wedding stuff :p:D.............

Today is my wedding anniversary :T

Yes DH and I have been married 32 years  - but I was of course a child bride ;). I haven't a clue what 32 years is in terms of paper, tin or whatever - must go and look it up.

We have the stove on - some nice food in and some DVD's to watch - really exciting stuff eh? But so long as we have love - that's all we need :kisses3::happyhear.

TMS - Too much slush??? :rotfl:

    Hi folks.
Yet another chilly day in Concrete Cow Country….:snow_laug

BZ nice to see you, must be really frustrating not being able to get online whenever you want.
But what’s that “I have had periods where I've felt guilty for putting so much on him” malarkey?:naughty: Not the “G” word again? Yeah, I know, we all get that, but the guy’s marrying you. He wouldn’t be doing that if you were a burden.
Well done on the wheelchair, btw. I resisted getting one for such a long time, but I’m glad I finally saw sense. We call it the WolfMobile!;)

Raeh do, please, ask your doctor if there’s even a remote suspicion in your mind about lupus. If they’re worth their salt, they won’t think you’re being a hypochondriac. And an answer, be it yes or no, will put your mind at ease. Should it turn out to be lupus, it’s £10 to a dog biscuit that they’ll want to alter your meds.
And yes, you’re right about things sort of flattening you. I think you ride out the “crisis” whatever it is, and then your body just lets go, and you get the reaction afterwards. Take it easy, mate.
Oh, and thanks for asking, Mr LW is fine, he had his new crown attached yesterday, and had no problems at all.

CwtA LOL at the sellotaped rubber glove.:rotfl:

Kass :naughty:I believe the F(raud)word has been banned.Well done on emailing the link to the Spoon Theory; it really does tell it like it is for us, I think.

Seaside cheers mate, please continue to update us onSharon. :AIt must be beastly having all those tests, but necessary I guess. Poor lass.

Just a thought, for those with less-than-considerate OHs, "If brains was a disease, men would be healthy".:rotfl:Yeah, it's flippant, but you have to laugh or you'd cry, in my experience. ((((HUGS)))) and good days to all.

I just realised something...this is the first website I visit when I switch my laptop on and this is the first thread I read. I feel very close to so many of you here as if we were friends in the 'real' world. I'm glad to have this place to come to and share experiences, laughs and ideas. Yay!!! for the internet and everyone here. I don't feel so isolated and out of touch from the rest of the world...it feels so safe and supportive thanks to all of you.

Have a very good night every one :-)

ditto ditto :D i have 5 minutes now before going to fetch ds2 from school and my first thought was i have just enough time to check the thread :o

  • raeh, I echo what the others have said - no harm in asking and finding out, particularly since it's a simple blood test.

seaside, ditto to what raeh has said - sharon is in my thoughts a great deal and I'm sending prayers and hugs her way.

bushbaby, same with me. This thread has made such a massive difference in my life - I've now got friends that understand and it doesn't matter that I'm poorly.

This thread keeps me sane - I used to periodically stop all meds to see if symptoms came back in case it was all in my mind. I don't do that anymore needless to say.

I took amy properly last night (thanks s/e) and slept right through - I didn'ty even wet the bed *grin*
I feel much more rested and alert now - I may even consider some tidying up.

Congrats on your wedding anni, Unity. 32 years is really something to celebrate! And it's a double benefit if it stops someone else hogging all the wedding limelight *grin*

Used my saved up sainsburys points today to get myself a £15 itunes card - I always do this as then the music "feels" free. Off to cut some toones and make some shapes ......

La, la la la, satyiing alive, staying alive ...
Sing along if you know the words ...

Unity, I think you must've posted as I was typing my post, or I'd have wished you a very Happy Anniversary before. Congratulations, my friend, hope you're having a great day.:j:j:j

Bushbaby I don't come to MSE first - there are one or two things I do first (internet banking, and anything else online to keep the household running, that sort of thing) and I make myself do that first. MSE is my treat when I've done the "chores" so to speak.:D
