I know exactly what you mean Raeh I am in shock right now, I have been pming Sharon over the last few days as she offered to make me a sock monkey, she left me a message last night saying she couldn't make it just yet as she had to go into hospital, but it was only when I came on here that I found out why. Like Raeh and a few others it has really thrown me and I cant think of anything else to say, it makes my problems seem petty.
I have pmed her and am sending her healing vibes, thats all we can do really isnt it, that and wait to hear from her. I must admit I have never joined a group before that has bonded so quickly as this one, it feels like a family.

Hi
Upon reading through the thread i'm senting Sharon my get well soon wishes.
I have query that I'm hoping someone can answer, all the females in my maternal side of my family have fibromyalgia and I'm having some health problems myself and was wondering is it likely I'll get it.
I have a B12 decease called pernicious anemia for which I get B12 injections but my health is slowly but surely getting worse and doctors are no help apparently "its just 1 of those things" I have 2 small children and I'm soooo tired all the time, can't drive in the afternoon as its way too dangerous that kind of tired...... sorry to ramble on.
Thanks in advance.0 -

Hi folks.
I hope we're all having a better day today Kass and Saffie please don't cry; I can't swim! OK, I was being flippant - seriously, I wish I could make you feel better; I don't know what I'd do if Mr LW refused to cuddle me.
Talking of which, he's had his tooth crowned this morning and gone on to work. I've had a text to say he got there safely (he does this every day cos I worry) so I reckon he's OK.
I shall continue to send healing thoughts to Sharon. I can't begin to imagine what she's going through.
Happy belated birthday Trialia. I didn't actually forget, I just didn't have my head around the fact that yesterday was Tuedsay IYSWIM.
CwtA you get to the GP sooner rather that later with that paw, OK?
Welcome Fairplay4u. I can't really answer your question as I'm a Lupie rather than a Fibromite, but hopefully one of the others will have some thoughts for you.
((((HUGS)))) to all my other friends here, if I've not mentioned names, it's not because I don't care IYSWIM.:o
Oh yes, please can I join the Black Dog Eviction Squad?:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Hi Fairplay, I don't think that can be answered, certainly not by us. I don't even think your doctor would be able to tell you if you will get it.
There is a theory that it may be genetic but I don't think anything has been proven. Of course there may be a greater risk if the theory is true but even then it doesn't mean you will. Feel free to jump in guys cos I'm certainly no expert but I wouldn't have thought anyone could give you a definitive answer.
Your best bet, if you are having problems other than the one you have been diagnosed for, is to keep a diary. I tried for years to get a diagnosis and had all sorts of tests. I kept a diary for a month then went back to my doc and said I had had enough and needed to know what's wrong. I had written everything down, even little things that I thought myself were unsignificant.
He looked at my list, looked at my med history then started prodding me. I nearly hit the roof and he asked did that hurt! I was looking at him incredulously and saying YES! What did you do that for? He did it again on different parts of my body and I ended up backed into a corner screaming "get off me". He really traumatised me and I didn't know why he was doing it. He then just said "you have Fibromyalgia" printed an info sheet out and sent me on my way!
Anyway, there I go again on my rambles! Sorry, that's all I can suggest. Some of the gang may have more advice when they get their head round poor Sharon's bad news.
I came on here again last night but started crying again so came off. We can't get into a slump cos it won't help anybody, least of all Sharon. We can't send positive energy if we don't feel the positivity ourselves.
On a lighter note. Can somebody please tell me what these are doing? :grouphug:
I put it in one of my messages but it was only when I noticed it in someone elses that I thought how rude it looked  I then rolled my mouse over it and it says 3some!!!! That's certainly not how it is advertised :rotfl:0 -
Hi LW, I didn't see you there!
I'm glad you mentioned being a lupie cos I only looked it up today and wondered how doc's know it's Lupus rather than Fibro? It looks the same to me. Can you tell me the differences and how it is diagnosed please.
Don't worry LW, I'm kinda used to it now. Every now and then I feel a little sorry for myself but there is no point dwelling cos there is nothing I can do about it. I sometimes wish I was on my own cos that would be better than being with someone and feeling unloved. But again there is no point cos I wouldn't be able to care for the children on my own and he is a great dad and works really hard for us all.
Sorry Trialia, I didn't know it was your birthday. I shall slap my hand for you.
Take care all, and lets try and get our positive vibe back!!!!
