Hi all. I'm back... I think... sort of.
Had a bit of a bad week one way and another, flare up of physical symptoms (as one does) closely followed by a major self-confidence crisis. Started typing a post on several occasions, and then I'd "hear" my mother's voice telling me that no-onecould possibly be interested in anything I had to say. Something she used to do on a regular basis.
Have read the thread, but as usual am a little muddled on who has said what. So rather than get myself further confused, I'll just wish all here a happy day, and hope you're all keeping warm and reasonably pain-free.If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -

That's awful! I hate it when I hear about other people's parents being so horrible to them. My father is very horrible to me on most occasions but I had the best mother in the world! A lot of my friends adopted her as theirs too cos they had horrible parents. It makes me miss her even more knowing how wonderful she was and how others don't deserve to be here.:(
Don't you take any notice LW, we would all love to hear what you have to say. Even if it's just waffle :rotfl:
Saffie I sympathise completely, as I'm sure we all do :grouphug:

I often think Mr LW must be well and truly fed up with me but he says he's not, so I'm sure the same will be true of your hubby.:oIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
LW, you poor poppet! I demand that you PM me when the devil on your shoulder whispers nasty things in your ear about you not being worthy etc. I'll knock his block off!
I hate to hear that other people are feeling bad like this - we miss you when you're not here ya know wolfie. If that doesn't say that we value you, I will keep my promise of personally castrating your black dog with a smart clap of two house bricks with his nits in between them.
My day turned out nothing like planned. I couldn't get the blade to turn on the food processor thingie, so tried to sort it out without switching it off first. What a mistake to make. Seeing the tendons in your finger is not an experience I recommend. So I trot off to casualty (know in the family as causality), leaking gently all the way. Luckily tendon intact and bone not chipped, but they couldn't stitch as wound was across joint. So superglued and steri-stripped later I emerged whole again but finding out how awkward things become with the index finger of right hand out of action when you're right handed.
Who can I blame? Which one of you is the nearest?!I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

OMG CwtA :eek::eek: your poor paw! It's just lucky you didn't chop the tendon. I'm one of the world's worst for not turning things off before I tinker with them, but I shall in future! And you even found some encouraging words for me after going through all that.:A
In fact thanks for all the kind words folks - I'm OK, I know what happened. We went to a pub quiz on the Sunday (1st Feb), and my social phobia kicked in big time. I bluffed my way through the evening OK, but then the Sunday night I lay awake and just couldn't stop crying. This is fairly typical - I get through the "event" but suffer the "fallout" afterwards. Unfortunately I got a mega dose of fallout this time. It happens - just part of being the Wolf.
Mr LW has just phoned to say he's on his way home, so I'm going to search the kitchen for spare spoons.:D
EDIT: CwtA please stay away from sharp objects. If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0
