Hiya all.
I finally reached the end of my tether in terms of lack of sleep yesterday when one of my neighbour's random "boyfriends" turned up at 3.30am banging and kickiing her front door for an hour. Her front door is outsde my bedroom window - not a good arrangement. I went to the door and politely told him to sod off at 4.30am. He waited 10 mins or so, then slammed my window shut and proceeded to kick the door again - the neighbour must have heard and was ignoring him. He eventually staggered off home when I threatened to call the Police.
But it was another nights sleep ruined. I don't know what she does to make this happen as it's not the first time. She always apologises and I know she's not responsible for his actions, but it really is peeing me off majorly.
So, I was in a mega bad mood yesterday and wanted to kill anyone who even looked at me.
Have finally started to catch up on sleep now, but patience is at an all time low. Best not talk to me Dad or I may end up telling him a few home truths!
Will come back and read posts properly later on. Am going to have a lazy day today.
Hope yer all staying warm.I must go, I have lives to ruin and hearts to breakMy attitude depends on my Latitude 49° 55' 0" N 6° 19' 60 W0 -

Thanks for letting me know what SLE is, I'm learning from you all every day. Somebody mentioned a wheelchair voucher. Do you have to be getting DLA for that?
Hi Kassandra, it was me (again ) who mentioned the wheelchair voucher. I've had my present chair for about five years. Prior to this I had an ordinary lightweight chair given to me by Social Services after an OT assessment. Unofrtunately 'lightweight' was a bit of a euphemism and difficult for DH as he also has problems with slight spina bifida. So we found out about the voucher scheme where the local authority provides a voucher - to which you add funds to get the chair you want. Mine is a Kuschall which has two suspension units to prevent that awful jarring sensation you get when travelling over uneven ground. These are expensive though - around £1700.
As to powered wheelchairs - unless things have changed drastically, you would only be given one of these by the SS, if you use the chair to get around within your own home.
Hope that helps.
Before I forget - welcome Meemee :hello: I hope you enjoy it here. Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever

cwta im sorry things arent great at the moment, when you have enough troubles of your own you just dont want to be coping with a neighbours as well  i hope you can catch up on your sleep x
kass glad you had a good night outits definately worth using all your spoons occasionally
hello everyone elseiv had a really tiring weekend, you know the burning ache? but i have got all the ironing done and even baked a choc fudge cake for the kids  iv had to go into work for a few hours this morning to prepare for tomorrows ofsted but at least its done.
Iv been sat feeling sorry for myself though for the last hour so i sent dh to the pubits one of those days where i was thinking whats the point of carrying on when i drag myself from day to day in constant pain and i get very fed up of no sympathy from people but then i wouldnt want it if they did iykwim?? does that make sense? people at work see me manage and carry on like nothings wrong so i cant really expect any different can i lol. Trouble is i know im heading for a bad flare up, as iv had mouth ulcers for ages and i keep getting sores in my nose...tmi?? sorry. If my hair drops out any more il be bald too
ok you can all come back out from behind the sofa nowiv stopped the whinging
il go and check my leg of lamb in the oven and them maybe do a few competitions... im slipping as i havent done any today at all.
we had about 10 minutes of a little flurry of snow earlier so im keeping my fingers crossed that was it.
Hope everyone is managing a nice relaxing weekend2009-£7500 2010 £10800 2011 £2000
Thank you to everyone who posts comps xxx0 -
Thanks Unity, that's good to know. They are expensive aren't they! I suppose a normal wheelchair from SS would be good for day's out. I can manage at the minute but can't really take the kids anywhere cos I just can't last and walk. My shopping I either do on-line or I just go and get enough for two days at a time. I just want to be prepared for the future as I don't believe for a second that this isn't a progressive diease. Who are they trying to kid??
CWTA I'm sorry to hear you are having this trouble. Hopefully this guy has got the message and b*gg*r*d off for good.
Hope everyone is having a lovely relaxing sunday.

Thanks raeh, I love the spoons thing. I haven't used it on anyone though yet. Mmmmmm, chocolate fudge cake. I'd love to know how to make that. Could you send me the recipe?
As for the sympathy thing yes idkwym (hee hee), it's annoying isn't it cos you don't want pity and you don't want to be that person who just moans all the time so you get on with it but then they seem to think you have made a miraculous recovery and expect things that they really shouldn't.
Ok what is tmi????
We had a wee bit of snow earlier, I'm not worried though, I've had worse dandruff!!

has anyone received this quarter's gas / lecky bills?
I finally dared to open mine....£320...eeek! they've increased the payments to £20pw...time to buy another lecky blanket fo the sofa i think either that or sit in the dark :-) and live on baked spuds and baked beans. to be honest i'm a bit low on funds as saing for deposit on motability car but that's still a heck of a lecky bill for 12 wks.
think I'll go back to bed and lose myself in a book
have a nice warm eve' everyone0 -

I've got a horrible "temple headache" at the moment. I think it's partially fibro and partially sinus - either way it's a horrid combo. I've had a pretty heavy cold for the last week or too as well so I've been trying to keep warm and rest more. I went to Ikea last night with OH and Focus today...both times I got OH to push me around (literally) in the stores' wheelchairs. It saved me a lot of energy but my neck is sore today from trying to crane it round to see stuff! I also really struggled with pelvic and hip pain from sitting in the same position for so long
OH was fine about it at the time, but he got really upset at night
I think it's because he's a carer for his mum whose health is generally degrading (fairly quickly) and it reminded him of dealing with her...he said he got really scared that I'd get really ill and he'd have to watch me suffer and I'd end up leaving him (and not by choice)
It made me really sad too that he was thinking about it. He got a bit upset (in his mood rather than crying type) after Focus today too, like the same thoughts flashed through his brain...
I've got my "princessy" (;)) sister being brought over with mum and dad tomorrow. They're coming to see the house (gave up on the idea of taking her to see the W dress too) for the day and sister is blagging a lift up here with them. She's gonna stay for a week or so, from the impression I get (she's never too clear on her plans...), so we'll see how that goes... Probably means I'll be on here very little over the next week though, as I'll be at home with sister more than coming to MIL2B's for t'internet etc..."I am indelibly stained by hope and longing" - Nuts in May0
