sharon :( i cant even begin to imagine how you must feel and how scared, the nights are always the worst when when we have small worries and make them feel huge, never mind the amount you have to cope with. The group with people in similar circumstances sounds good as everyone has a real understanding and can empathise rather than us just sympathise? make sure you still come and let loose on us lot though even when you have the councelling as its good to shout at friends too ;)

good to see you back bz ;) poor OH :( must be agony. I know just what you mean about him understanding your world though, iv always said i wish i could give everyone my pain for just even an hour to let them 'really' feel how it is constantly. Sounds like you have had a busy time?? i hope you have done a bit of resting after ;)

sue i hope it stayed fine for your dh :) thats good that your dad is taking off on holiday once the treatment is finished, it will be nice for him to get away from it all

LW i have to say im very jealous of you and Mr LW :p not often you hear of 'proper' soul mates and you sound as if you are

cwta no diet day?? i think thats every day in my house :o

pcl i never got to the supermarket cafe as my sisters dh behaved himself lol, he followed her list and followed it to a tee :rotfl:no nice extras at all like she usually throws in!! she wasnt impressed *g* we only shop together once every 2 weeks so she will be feeling up to going next time

coro and then an early night i think :D

Ta very much :) Yeah he is, I've got him on a rotating ibuprofen/co-codamol treatment plan with cold compresses and lots of rest and soft food ;) He was saying that all he wants when he's ill is me now (bless him) and i've said the same before...difference is, he's off to work etc all the time when I'm ill, but I'm here all the time when he is...:o It's been busy but not in a weary way, I don't think. Either way I've been far too mooky to do anything but mooch about anyway. I've been spending a fair bit of time lying down reading tbh...

Sharon I agree with what everyone else is saying, you vent as much as you want, and I think the group sounds a very positive thing.

lw your trip sounds lovely, especially after seeing a few of the scottish isles on the Martin Clunes programme the other day, I hope you have a good time and take plenty of pics for us to see.

cwta your worse than me with buying books :rotfl:and buying a book you've forgotten you already have is just the sort of thing Id do. Thanks for thinking of me.

BZ Glad to have you back hun, we missed you. I hope d/f gets better soon, it sounds nasty. I'll check out the book on Amazon, thanks for the tip it sounds good.

Ive been a bit naughty buying stuff online again, a couple more toys for the g/ks birthdays next week and a couple of tops for my holiday so all important stuff that I need :rotfl:

    Hi All

Could I grab some advice please? Am starting on the tramadol again( now got a cyst on ovary) and gp has told me I can take it on top of my co-codamol, trouble is the tramadol is making me itch all over! I tried some citerzine tabs that I had for hayfever but didn't make an ounce of difference. Anyone else have this with their other fibro symptoms? Got the results of blood tests, just got run of the mill low blood sugar but no diabetes - hooray! Another excuse to eat every two hours:T

yellow i would suggest speaking to your doctor or pharmacist. itching like that after starting a new medicine (even one you have taken before) could be a sign of allergy.

sharon what everyone else said, dont stop telling us whats going on in here just cause your going to have someone else to tell too.

last year on amazon i managed to put the same book in my basket twice, without realising it was allready there, in the same basket, same checkout etc. i only noticed when two copies turned up.

blue sky with fluffy white clouds here today, hope you all have dry weather too :)

Sharon, I'm with the rest of the gang with venting.......vent away lassie. Sounds like you had a fab birthday and you're feeling the comedown from the high. Glad you enjoyed your birthday.

Yellow, I think I have heard of the itchy thing with Tramadol from others but it never affected me like that. I do get days when I'm itchy all over and it drives me mad. It feels like there is something crawling on me. It's something you need to talk to your doc/pharmacist about.

Well guys I apologise for my absence but until yesterday I had slept constantly. It was like someone had given me a knockout drug. I very nearly went back to sleep yesterday but decided to catch up on here and not give in to it. I replied to loads and it took me ages, then when I clicked the button to submit it, I lost it!! I then took a child-like strop and stamped my feet!

I'm over it today but really can't face going back and doing it all again so I'm sorry for anything I should have replied to.

Hi Kass was wondering where you'd got to. It's so annoying when that happens (which is FAR too often!) I should have my very own BB tomorrow though, YAY!

    No worries Raeh. ;)

Yellowrock I get the Tramadol itches too, usually when they're wearing off - I presume it's something to do with sensation being allowed back to the nerve endings again? as the Tramadol is supposed to block pain from the nervous system itself, so I was told. If you're concerned about anything like that though read through the leaflet with the meds or ask pharmacists/doc. :)

    Ar'ternoon all.

Where to begin.... the brainfog's bad today, so please bear with me. Like mentally wading through treacle iyswim.

Welcome Yellowrock. Can't help re Tramadol, as I can't take it. I'm with those who say ask your GP/pharmcist if you're worried, though.

CwtA None of my recipes are particularly secret - in fact a lot of them are filched off the Old Style board! I'll gladly post or pm if anyone wants a specific one. They'll all be veggie (sorry Suep, not vegan, tho' some could prob be adapted). I do also "tinker" with recipes to suit our taste. The mushroom risotto went down very well last night, and was amazingly easy to do.:j

Raeh thanks mate, Mr LW and I both consider ourselves lucky. The fact that we've both been through absolute !!!!!! in the past prob makes us appreciate each other more, tbh.:o

BZ awww, poor DF. Mind you, it does 'em good to experience a little suffering now and then, I agree. We visited a shop a while back, and the assistant was so understanding about wheelchair access, moved stands for me and everything, and she did say she'd had a broken leg and been in a wheelchair for 3 weeks, so she'd had actual experience of the difficulties. I hope he feels better soon though.

Sharon very best of luck with the counselling/group thingy. But don't stop talking to us when you feel down. We're always here for you.

Kass I hate it when the cybergremlins eat my post. I can never remember what I said, to retype it, even if I have the energy, (Did that make sense?)

Gonna stop now, as the fog is closing in again.:(

:hello: to those I should've replied to and haven't, and to everyone else.

Hi again, just reading about the tramadol itch thing makes me wonder if thats why my husband itches and has been on anti hystamines(sp) every day for it,he has been on tramadol slow release for years. We had never put it down to the tabs so thanks for that little gem of info.
Back to work to day and now in agony really need to push docs for more tests as last lot didn't show raised inflametery markers. My hands are getting worse aswell so opening boxes and filling shelves is not good.Take tens machine with me now to ease the pain a bit.
Just thought I'd share a bit of good news my niece had a baby girl the day before yesterday, bitter sweet really because she'll never see her grandad (my brother died 1st jan this year) but some thing nice for a change.
Sharon I hope you are okay ,I start my councelling next week so hopefully the depression will start to lift.
Thanks BZ for your nice remark.Off to Aldi now,
    Take care all,
    Genine xx
