    If it's any consolation I'm 26 and haven't by choice owned a dress in 20 years...? ;)

i used to be the opposite way, i was very much a dress/skirt person adn the only trousers i would wear were pjs. then i got a pair of black trousers that were the right length and shape and looked ok so i would wear them once in a while. even for work all my uniforms were dresses rather than tops and trousers, until somene left and gave me hers. now i cba with tights and like trousers that can be slept ina s well as worn outside.

Oh I am. Quietly. Ok maybe not quietly but...I've sorta suspected/known this was coming for a while.

That's SO against the rules of Freecycle! You're only allowed to advertise free stuff! You should report them.

I dont own any skirts,, I brought a couple of dresses last year, 1 for my sisters wedding and 1 for g/s christening, they'll probably never be worn again.

  • Ello again peeps. I'm finished for the day - only thing planned is perhaps a bath, reading and TV. Phew.

bz, the behaviour of your MIL2B does seem manipulative - is it a little battle to prove that she's either still a signifcant person in your DF's life or is the most significant? I think it is wise to leave at least 24 hours before fulfilling her demands. I do think that this is a problem that can be solved or at least minimised. Have you thought about posting about the situation on the relationship sub-board? There are some pretty savvy people there. I think that you'll have to get DF onboard too - howabout making some rules with her about her constant calls for help? And sticking to them?

OMG bz, I didn't know that about your XOH. That must have been awful! I'd be mighty peeved at my sister too. In fact me and my sis aint talking atm. Just cos someone does you a favour does that then give them the right to call you names? I've probably told you already cos I know I'm forgetful but this is exactly it! I may be forgetful but I'm not stupid!! Ooh, I thought I had over reacted the other day but I'm getting mad again so I guess not.

pcl, that is scandalous!! Yeah, maybe I would have been a little suspicious at a wii for free but it's not allowed on there. The whole point of freecycle and the goodwill of others is just being spoilt by idiots like that. I'm with bz, I'd report them.

careful, your posts sound more and more like raeh's. Stop overdoing it woman!!!!

On the skirts/dresses subject. I haven't worn them for years cos my knee's just aren't up to it anymore but now these footless tights are in I have got a dress cos they cover my fat knee's nicely :D
I'm apple shaped too so it's hard for me to find a dress that doesn't emphasise my bulging middle :o

i did report them and they got banned, i have seen wiis go on my local list a couple of times though so yeah to good to be true but was worth a try :) i also wasnt the only one to report them.

nope kass that dont give em the right to call you names, never ever.
  • kass, it's worth it to do quite a lot at the mo coz then I can go away and relax not thinking I "should" be packing up. I'm well ahead now and can take it easy for a day or two and I'm gonna.

Know what's gonna make me feel better? Some more pics of Charlie *g*

I quite like dresses and skirts - more flattering that jeans as I'm big all over, but also look like I'm expecting triplets.
Jeans is easy though, but I have a couple of old fave denim skirts that I live in during the Summer. I don't do smart *g*

 blimey where to start *g* i think you should all only be allowed one post if i havent been in ;)

kass ... dont start me on families ... and friends  being very small i think iv always been a bit 'gobby' to make up for it :D bloshy was thew word used at work a while ago! the trouble is you get walked on if you arent and i spent far too many years not daring to say what i thought, i will always try to not be rude but i find it hard to not appear aggressive when i feel extremely strongly about things [my neightbour - her kids and her drink problem, she doesnt appreciate my opinion - then dont use me as a sounding board ;)] edited: as does that make sense to anyone lol

bz, do you think your mil2b is scared of being left alone?? i know it must be a terrible pain and i think you have to have boundaries for her but after my stepdad died my mum would ring me constantly [and still does!!] and as shes bordering agrophobic i have to take her everywhere she needs to go  but its mostly the fact that the house is so empty when shes left alone she needs to know someone is there [me!!] i know you must hate it but if shes ill and scared of being left maybe your oh could talk to her and reaasure her that she will never be left alone, is he the only family??
re: your sister and her wedding .... scuse me here ...... selfish, jealous, ignorant b!atch  and no excuse whatsoever for your parents not replying immediately!!

cwta take it easy with the packing, little and often rather than putting something out doing too much at once xx

we went out to buy bedding plants today so all my pots are looking lovely and bright again :D very tiring though  dh positioned me bless him, with pots , compost and plants all around me so i didnt have to lift anything. Its a nice tiredness though when you have been out in the sun and fresh air??

I wont be on for a couple of days now as im off to castleton on an over night residential with my Y5's :D another tiring activity but great fun

take care everyone and hope its a good few days for you xx
