  • I shouldda eaten choccie biccies then - I'll try to remember that.
I did set the alarm today, but was soooo tired, I turned it off, but then various phone calls (to ansaphone) and postman etc made it impossible to sleep again, so I am finally up.

Unfortunately, house fairy is due today, so I can't chill for the rest of the ay which is wha I want to do, but no matter.

bz, Yay on the lawn mower. Pick s/e's brains on the weed/feed stuff to use? I always find I'm super hungry when I get up early, but if I get up middayish, I don't eat until about 4pm. What's that all about?
Your friend sounds quite clueless about what a friend really is tbh.
jamla hope your legs stay pain free today - enjoy it!
pcl How are you doing today?

  • i managed to get my scripts and get into tescos pharmacy, and while i was there bought a couple of pairs of trousers (which better fit) and books and ended up spending far too much money. how come that always happens when i go anywhere with no intentions of actually buying anything?

careful can you chill before house fairy comes and after she leaves? hope your not too achey after moving boxes yesterday.

jamla hope the legs stay pain free, make the most of it and enjoy.

bz  that is terrible! It kicked off proper yesterday. DS2 (only 5) shouted "stop arguing" and XOH told him to f**k off  I've never felt like punching anyone more in my life  I had to leave the house 1) for the safety of XOH and 2) cos I felt it better for the kids, he can't really argue with himself now can he. I didn't come back until this morning and didn't feel very safe around him. He is too unpredictable atm so although I wanted to stay in this house so there wasn't too much upheaval for the kids, I'm kind of thinking now that maybe the upheaval is the better choice over seeing/hearing him kick off like that. I don't know if I told you guys but he split my head open the other week. That's when I decided it was over. The kids weren't in the house though so I'm thankful for that. I've been trying to find out if there is some kind of social security loan/grant that I could tap into for a deposit and first months rent on a place. I'm just going to try and keep out of his way as much as possible. On the up side, a few friends of mine have a "wine night" every Wednesday. I never usually go but decided to this week to keep out of his way. Anyway, this week it is at one of the girls house's who has a pool so we're having a pool party and the water is always really warm too so it will benefit my muscles too :D

Hope everybody elses day is going better than mine :D

Do I share too much lol!!!
  • kass, you don't share too much at all.
Can I suggest that you call the Police. I don't think it's a problem it being after the fact and ask that he be kept away from your house. A temporary restraining order or sommat?
You are right, the kids don't need this - you and they need to be able to feel safe in the home.
On the other hand, can you contact a womens refuge for advice at all? As a first step?
    Gotta go - back soon.

kass nope not sharing to much, i thin it is probably far better for the kids to deal with the upheaval than deal with him going off like that. i dont remember seeing any of my parents violence (my sister does so i know it happened) but just the tension and uneasiness in the house was bad enough, neither of them were happy and i still wish they ahd separated when i was young instead of waiting until i left home. if dhs/job center are not helpful over rent and deposit, try your local womens refuge for advice, they should know exactly what you can tap into. im envious of the pool party.

sue hope you feel better soon.
