Do please stay in touch on here - you're not alone, you do not deserve to be treated like this and none of what is happening is your fault. We're all behind you as sounding boards/moral support or whatever you need.
    exactly this!

Im still not great, but like lw I dont want to lurk while Kass is having problems. ((((Hugs)))) Im so sorry you and your lovely kids are going through this hun, I wish I could help, but you've had some good advice already from the others and it sounds like you are doing the right things already. I hope you enjoy your wine and pool night, dont let the drink go to your head and make you think you are an olympic swimmer, you'll regret it for about a week after ;) I hope things get better for you soon.

My painful bladder condition is flaring up badly today, I havnt had it for ages and had forgotten how painful it is, Im not due for my next treatment at the hospital for a couple of weeks, but if its still bad tomorrow I'll go to the docs. Fatigues flaring up too, so Im sleeping loads.
My brains siezed up again and I cant remember what else I wanted to say.
    Hope your all ok

Thanks again you guys. I'm at my cousins (she lives in the next street) as I went to my friends to keep out of the way but when I got back he was waiting up drinking and started again. He threw something at me as I was leaving but luckily I had opened the door fast and whatever it was hit the door instead.

I'm going to stay here for a few days and just go round on a morning before the kids get up then leave again when he comes home from work. Just until I've weighed everything up.

I'm so glad I have you lot. You're all really helping me.

My friend I met n the web (she is a fibromite and a pagan like mesen) rang me tonight and said the fibro group she goes to are meeting at a pub this week for a pub lunch on Thursday. She invited me along so that will be a welcome distraction.

I'm very lucky to have such lovely friends! (and I'm including you lot in that statement)

Hope all your aches and pains are better this evening

  • I'm really tired and had planned a lie in, but have been kept awake since early hours by acid reflux despite taking my stomach protector tabs last night *sigh*

Morning all, I felt worse when I first got up, but I remembered I had a stash of a/bs from when I had them on repeat as I had to take a low dose every day for 6 months so I took one with my other tabs and the pain is easing a bit now.

Kass keep safe hun, I hope you find somewhere of your own soon. I cant remember if you've tried the council yet ? When my son and his partner needed somewhere to live after her dad threw them out and they were in a B&B the council told them to find somewhere themselves and they'd pay the deposit so it might be worth asking if they'll help.

cwta I hope your feeling better soon and maybe manage to get a nap later.

I don't want to be a doom monger (big {hugs} by the way) but it sounds like hubby is winding himself up into another fit of rage (there's a pattern to abusive behaviour and hubby is exhibiting classic behaviour), so please be very careful. Also be very careful about leaving the children alone in the house with him. If he'll tell a 5 year old to eff off, what else would he do?

I also grew up with volatile parents - you don't ever forget seeing your father hitting your mother and calling her all the names under the sun. Please don't wait 'til he's injured you again before you leave for good. The very fact that he was gloating about 'getting' away with it means he won't leave it at 1 assault (was that the first time he's got aggressively physical with you?).

    I'll be thinking about you.

Wot she said Kass, plus hugs :grouphug: - dodgy though it looks :D. I am very lucky in that I never saw violence in all the years my parents were married and I have only ever been hit by a man once, when I was sixteen and it was my first boyfriend of more than a few weeks. Thankfully it was more of a push than a punch - which knocked me into a sound system scratching the vinyl and drawing everyone's attention to him, more than me :T. As a friend of mine said at the time: "Never let a man hit you - even if he is bigger and stronger, the !!!!!! has to fall asleep sometime :D - then lay him out cold with a poker!" No seriously that was just her way of dealing with it. I look at it more like those old public info films about fire - "Get out, get the kids out, stay out and call the Fire Brigade out!" In this case call the police, he won't get away with it a second time.

Do take care, cos we worry :o.
