yes certainly, but what you may find is they take the repayment off the amount you owe and will give you a cheque for any outstanding amount

    Hi and welcome.

As Pinknico says, yes you can, it makes not difference at all.

However if successful, it may be the case that the PPI will be refunded to your account (if that is where you have the debt), which I assume you would be happy that it will help with clearing the debt, or at least help towards it.;)
If anything remaining, the rest of it should then be refunded directly to you.

8 weeks is about standard, I think the FOS actually allow 12 weeks before payment HAS to be made
Thanks - but 8 Weeks sounds horrendous! I don't think people winning cases realise it's still a long haul to get any cash.
I was definitely told 4 WEEKS by Barclay's London. This could be a load of lies of course. 4 weeks is up by this Friday so we shall see.
Very tempted to contact Adjudicator again and explain Hardship factors. Barclays have already agreed in writing (to my other Bank Charges claim), that they accept Hardship in my case.
Just makes me want to explode with frustration.
  • Hiya,

I am just running through the PPI stage one letter(As found on MSE Website :) ) with my other half.

One question though, upon filling out the letter and reading it back it does not state that it is the PPI she is wishing to claim back? is this correct?

    Cheers.

    Wullie.

shouldn't be - I'd list it as the subject header

Simply list it as Reimbursment of Payment Protection Insurance?

No further mention of it in the wording of the letter though?

Cheers for the prompt response as it is much appreciated.

    Best Regards,

    Wullie.

If your in any hardship then yes its worth mentioning this to the adjudicator, they may consider getting this done quicker for you if they can.;)
