I am proper fed up:( i originally sent my claim of for 2 loans(one was used to pay off other) to the RBS in may this year one was dealt with within the 8 weeks and went off to FOS the other trailed behind by 4 weeks so i sent that to the fos then and it was linked with the original using the same ref number. Well heard from rbs that the latter one was never actioned by the FOS and was closed by RBS even though the FOS are saying they have linked them:huh: i have been phoning the ombudsman now on and off for 2 weeks and they are saying they are pulling the file and they will ring me back but never do:mad: i rang on wed last week they told me someone will defo ring me back before fri and no phone call so rang this morning and still nothing has been done.
I am worried cos come end of dec it will be at the 6 month stage and i am frightened the Rbs will cancel my claim.
Rant over thanks for listening:D0 -
marshallka wrote: »shooby, if you have sent these into FOS within the 6 months then that should be OK. If you orginally complained about them both then this again should be OK. I would just ring the FOS again and check and try to stay on the line until you have an answer perhaps.[/QUOTE
Thank you Marshallka:D your allways there to talk some sense
another worry i have is the fact that when they now start to request info for the loan they havnt actioned is this gunna push my claim to the back of the queue with regards to waiting for an adjudicator, as you can probably tell i am soooo frustrated0 -
Hi not sure if anyone can help me, I took out a car loan with Yes car credit stupidly in Summer 2002. I have no paper work, so no account, I have tried my credit report and i have no evidence of it on there either.
Could some please tell me how I can get any information from this company to try and claim back my PPI please0 -
Hello
I have previously received a settlement from Egg which was not clear as to whether it included 8% statutory interest.
I wrote to them accepting the cheque they sent me as part payment of the claim and asked them to clarify.
I have had a reply from them today saying that they have not admitted liability and it is a goodwill gesture only and 'it is not their policy' to add 8% statutory interest.
However I,m sure I rememeber reading on the sucesses thread that people have got 8% statutory interest back from Egg.
Can anyone confirm this for me?
I will prolly now take it to the FOS, what do I need to tell them?
Thanks0 -

Hi beth
Have you any old bank statements lying around somewhere?
If so you can check the account number from when you were paying this out every month - normally shown next to the monthly repayments.
If you have the account number that will do.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I have closed that account down only last month that the payments came from, Do yuo think they would be able to go back that far even though its closed?0 -

Hi there
I'm sure the ones dealing with EGG will post up with some info/advice for you.
If that was the final offer, of course you can go to the FOS.
You can either ring them or download and print the form from the website, enclose copies of correspondence to send off with the complaints form.
You just tell them that your not happy with the basic offer and strongly believe you were mis sold the PPI, and expect EGG to refund you the full amount of PPI and the interest etc.

hope this helps, good luck and please keep us posted.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

I would take my chance , contact the finance business if they still hold the account number.
Or you can still SAR the ones you closed down, they should hold your info up to 5/6 years.;)

Just tried Yes car credit, they no longer run, I called the finance company that is comign up when I google yes car credit, they say they dont run any accounts for Yes, So my only option would be to try Lloyds and see if they can go back that far on my closed down account lol.
Also I wouldnt be able to claim would I if both Yes car credit and the financial people I went through have gone bust?
Sorry to bug people,0 -

Sorry to bug people,
Yes maybe a SAR will be of some help.
I would check to see if the business were taken over by someone else, or check with the financial compensation scheme (FSCS) to ask if they are listed with them as well, just to make sure.
