Yes that is right Marshallka a mis selling complaint.
There is a huge amount of money on yours and hopefully they will get this dealt with as soon as poss and repay this back to you and more in my opinion, it would do my head in with what you been through here, well it did before, its only because of your encouragement that I went for it again to give it another go.
Blimey 13 months........, golly!!!!

Di, its not a huge amount of money on this one BUT its the principal of the matter. I have a huge amount of money to pay out though. I just want it sorting but properly and nothing less.

if its any consolation to you , i had a claim with fos for fp it was waiting for an adjudicator since march this year. i telephoned asking about the progress of this on a monday to be told it was still waiting for an adjudicator, and then on the friday of the same week i recieved a letter from fos to say it had been upheld, as the saying goes "dont believe everything you hear" i would just wait it out for a week or two more, there is no pont getting stressed over something you have no control over. i hope you do get this before xmas, and i have everything crossed for you xxxx
Thanks, good advice I do seem to have calmed down a little bit today and what you say makes sense if only companies think like that when they are wanting money off us eh .... keep you posted x

Hi, when I spoke to them the other day ( bet they are getting sick and tired of hearing from me but never mind ) they were working on the ones they had on 4th Aug, so yours shouldnt be much longer fingers crossed, let me know
• Ive had a letter from the FOS. Theyve upheld my claim against Egg PPI which Id been paying from 2002 till 2008. Ive no idea how much Ill get yet but Ive to sign a form that I accept the terms FOS have agreed with Egg. In my case, it means that Egg will calculate what they think Im due plus any interest paid on the amount. If I agree with their sums, Egg will pay it into my Egg Credit Card account. Anything left over will be sent to me in a cheque. They also say they're allowing 8 weeks for the process to complete so Im still going to be skint over Christmas.
Progress, I guess, but Id rather decide WHERE my money goes - it IS mine after all. But if I argue that point, I could be waiting months with no guarantee of success so Ive signed the form and will post it, registered, today.

Let me know what you guys think.

they are owned by a company called cattles (cattles.co.uk) search out cattles and look for the names of the company directors - their email addresses are their names separated by a . so for example joe.bloggs@cattles.co.uk

Just been reading through this policy from Firstplus that they sent with the SAR and looking into the bit about the "cashback" after 5 years. On the policy it states how to claim the cashback etc and it tells you to write to Miller Firstline in the first instance. However, Miller firstline (who were part of Miller Fisher) closed down in Nov 2002 (we settled our loan in April, 2003) so really and truely how would that have affected anyone being able to claim the cashback as FP never sent us anything to state that Miller Firstline had actually dissolved. I have my SAR and there is nothing in it there either. In fact when I spoke to someone at FP last year about my complaint I was told by one of their managers to "write" to Miller FIrstline" about the rebate or anything to do with the policy. Although, FOS wrote to Lloyds of London and its actually a lloyds syndicate that deals with this. Just maddening that IF we had have continued with the loan (although never received ANY insurance documents at the time of taking it out) we never would have been able to claim this cashback anyway as we had no idea of the terms etc of claiming it back AND if we had spoken to FP about it then they would have most likely directed us to a company that had actually dissolved as they did LAST YEAR....

Just found this from when they dissolved

Miller Fisher Group PLC - administrative receivers' statement
Miller Fisher Group plc, providers of loss adjusting and outsourcing services to the insurance and financial services industries, was today placed into administrative receivership.
Nick Dargan and Jamie Smith, partners from professional services firm Deloitte & Touche, were appointed joint administrative receivers to the Group, which is quoted on both the London and Dublin Stock Exchanges. Miller Fisher Group plc operates from 19 sites throughout the UK and has operations in Dubai, France, Hong Kong, Singapore, Austria, Venezuela and Ireland. It employs approximately 800 personnel and has a turnover of £45 million.
Receiver Nick Dargan said "We would like to reassure the Group's customers that the business will continue trading whilst a buyer is found. We will be speaking to customers over the next few days. We can confirm that Miller Farrell Group in Ireland is not in receivership and continues to trade under its existing management team"
The Group is understood to have experienced financial difficulties as result of consolidation in the Insurance sector that has reduced the number of customers and had a significant impact on margins.
Any parties who are interested in purchasing the businesses should contact Deloitte & Touche on 0207 936 3000
