    Hi,
I am new to this forum, I was wondering what the success rate is and if worth with sending letters?

I have just finished a loan with Lombard Direct that was 5 years long. I did have a PPI with the loan.

I have 2 Black Horse Loans, with PPI's I have all the paperwork. Do they have to pat you the full figure that is on the loan agreement as stated at the start of the loan?

O just what you have paid to date?

I have a Lloyds Loan also that has a PPI, so in total the PPI's sum to £3,150.

Can you tell me are these bank likley to pay up? And should I send the first letter?

    Hello and welcome.;)

If mis sold the PPI for any reason then yes you do stand a chance, so give it a go if this is the case.

If the loan is settled, they should refund you all you have paid in ppi and the interest paid etc, you can also request that they refund you the 8% of what a court would award.

Again with active loans, they should refund you the ppi up to date, of what have been paid and also reduce the monthly repayments, although some will actually say the way they do it is that you take out a new loan to pay off the existing loan, with no ppi on the new loan, if this is the case, always check that the interest rate is that equal to the existing loan or better.
Then of course, continue to reclaim back on the PPI.

I would not worry about writing the amounts down on the letter, as there may be more to come back, but its handy keeping a note of them yourself, so you can refer to them later on.

For more on how calculations are worked out with the financial ombudsman service (FOS) check here to give you an idea.

For more info on reclaiming, with a checklist of mis selling reasons, also letter reclaim templates here:

If you require any help, give us a yell, good luck.;)

Just to add that if you were mis sold for the same reasons on the BH loan/ppi, you can write in the same letter, just remember to enclose details of the account numbers, so they know to refer to these.

From what I remember yes. the FOS intervened and they agreed to re-pay everything back to me plus 8% plus £200 compensation.

hi there, i would go to fos and tell them. wf should give you a new loan at the same interest rate as the old one and over the same term, do these figures tally with your old loan and term and monthly payment? if not give fos a ring and tell them

    Hi hun
    Hope your well hun.:A

If this is also being dealt with through the FOS, the one dealing with your complaint should hopefully have all the info on this for you, if you can call them, to ask them this, just so that your sure.;)
Always best to double check before signing, so your doing the right thing here.

Let us know how you get on hun, the FOS if dealt with this originally should be able to give some advice on this one.;)Xx

  • Hi yes it is exactly the same terms etc as the previous one minus the PPI I phoned them and eventually got thru and they explained the procedure - duh  felt a right tube!

Yeah Di am fine not been on much lately as not had much to report. The payments I have received are sitting nicely in the savings account until xmas time.

We got the payment from Blackhorse too.
Got a letter from GE saying they didnt mis-sell so its off to the FOS now so just waiting for news on that one.

FP still dragging their heels or should I say FOS dragging their heels still not got an adjudicator and they said September.....:confused: I emailed again to be told the same thing they are extremelybusy at themo and they will get an adjudicator to me asap.

And now with the impending postal strike even if we do get something back how long is it going 2take?

One of my clients returned withdrawal forms today that were signed by his co-executor on 16th September which just arrived yesterday - crazy - can they not just give them a bloody pay rise?

    Hi hun,
    You've had a time of it lately haven't you?

Well I hope your BH case will be moved on very soon, it was posted on here not so long ago that the FOS did take on new adjudicators, due to their workloads and backlogs of these reclaims, but with a bit of luck, you won't have to be waiting much longer.;)
    Good luck.
