I had one of these and phoned my adjudicator. He said it was unusual but wouldn't make any difference to the decision made by ombudsman.
I returned mine and Ombudsman ruled in my favour.
I am still waiting on payment though as Ocean are not working figures out as reccomended by FOS so my claim is on hold for time being. A pain I know but if it stops ocean ripping even more people off then I am prepared to wait.
Good luck with your claim. I suspect you are not far from a ruling now.
thanks for that
I hope so, I'm just glad that it looks like things are moving at last.
Good luck with yours and I hope you are not waiting too long0 -
Has anyone ever emailed the Ombudsman PPI support in regards to a complaint that you have and whether they ever reply. I have emailed them on 6th October and not had any response what so ever. Do they normally take this long?0

Yes I have & it usually takes a couple of days for them to respond, if you email them again, put a tracker on the email to be able to check if it has been received & opened.0 -
Hiya Natalie, I have rang them now and as usual they are very busy:rolleyes:. Just waiting to be allocated an adjudicator as usual. I was worried as I emailed them on the 6th and its now the 13th, I thought they would at least acknowledge it.Natalie6999 wrote: »Yes I have & it usually takes a couple of days for them to respond, if you email them again, put a tracker on the email to be able to check if it has been received & opened.0 -

EGG Loan PPI - is this normal?
Hi, Last week I wrote to Egg via their secure messaging service informing them that I thought I had been mis-sold PPI on a loan I have with them (template letter 1). Two days later I received a reply from them saying they have lodged the complaint (standard wording). I have today logged onto my account statement the insurance options are showing as "none" and I can't even see I ever had PPI (unless I view the statement) which I am printing off hastily!
Does anyone know if this is normal practice? And what is it likely to mean? They haven't told me that this is what they have done - not that I am complaining ;-)
Thanks0 -
Do you have any statements other than that one online that you can view to prove you had the PPI? This is very strange indeed????? Have they just cancelled it for you and made a refund at all? Egg are known for making refunds against loans/credit cards with them but what about the PPI you paid already?MissHennyPenny wrote: »EGG Loan PPI - is this normal?

No marshallka, there are two online statements but they clearly say how much PPI there was - the latest ends September 09. I may even have the original loan agreement if I look hard enough!0

Hi,
first time posting in the PPI reclaiming so apologies if this is raised elsewhere as I can't face going through 400 pages! :rotfl:
I have an account with Ace catalogue (similar to Studio) who i am aiming to reclaim charges back from and on my statements, I have noticed that they used to apply PPP (payment protection plan).
My question is where do i go from here, I have full breakdown of the charges of this, but I do not have the original agreement and I think I was mis-sold it, as i was only 18 and a student at the time when I took out the account with them so i would never have needed any PPP!!!
Do i need to write to them for a copy of my agreement with them or just send a letter requesting my charges back?
Thanks for all your help
