If the firm denies responsibility
More information
Phoenix firms
The firm you’re complaining to may appear to be similar or the same as the firm that provided you with a financial product or service but won’t take responsibility for your complaint, saying that it is a new firm. This can happen when a firm closes and its client details are bought by a new firm. The new firm appears to be similar to the original firm (it has the same or similar name, people or office). This is known as a ‘phoenix firm’.
What should I do if I'm affected?
If you have a claim or an outstanding complaint against the old firm do not give up on this.- Be persistent. You should not be put off by firms claiming the liabilities are not theirs if in all other aspects it appears to be the same firm.
- Take your case to the Financial Ombudsman Service if you are not satisfied with the answer – see Related links.
- Tell us about it. We cannot help with individual disputes between you and the firm, but phoenix firms are a priority for us – Contact us.
Marshallka, do you think I should contact these?
I know they cannot help with the complaint, may be interesting to know if they do come back with anything, what do you think?;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"

Hi There
Personally I do not bother until it gets to about 18 months
I know 5 months seem a long time to wait but I know FOS are very busy. :mad:0 -

Hi and welcome.
I know how you feel with this one, and sorry to hear that your going through this as well.
Click Finance - These are the Brokers who then arranged and sold you the finance, and I have been recently trying to pursue through the insurers/underwriters, no luck yet though unfortunately, where I am still waiting for feedback from the FOS on this one, just to ask on where we should take this.
I have this problem as well hun, if the same company they dissolved in 2006, and yet they run many other Click loan businesses.
When did you actually take out this loan? (year)
I did originally try by writing to Click Finance on the company they run now, also by the same director/manager and they are not taking any responsibility over this one, so frustrating indeed. The one and only "Dizzy Di"
