  • I just wanted to say thanks for the support on this forum, It took 9 months but I have recieved 7k from EGG!
If anyone is debating whether to start the ball rolling or not, DO IT! complaining to the FOS is the easiest part!
I have complained to EGG now about previous loans now and they have already said that they will be refunding these too, no need for FOS.
    FABULOUS!

I wanted to say thanks for all the advice given on this forum as well.

Received some letters from Lloyds yesterday saying they will be refunding the PPI plus the 8% interest as requested in the letter I downloaded from this site. I would advise anyone mulling over whether to go for it or not to download the letter, amend it to your own circumstances, and then post it NOW!

  • Am new to this and I've been reading the PPI reclaiming threads but am still unsure about what to do. I took out a secured loan with Blemain Finance and Ocean finance was the broker.

I sent Blemain finance the first letter about a week ago. Yesterday I received a reply from Blemain finance saying "we dealt with the application for PPi on the basis Ocean had provided sufficient information to yourself ..." It goes on to say that I shold contact Ocean finance regarding PPI.

So my question is, should I send the same letter I sent to Blemain finance to Ocean finance? And is the clock still ticking in relation to the 8 wks? Or does it start again with Ocean finance?

    Hello and welcome.;)

Whoever sold you the loan/ppi is the ones you write to, so yes, send a copy of the letter you originally sent, and it will be a case of 8 weeks again, but this is fine, as its only now you are writing to this company.

I am wondering if Ocean Finance are still active or not, will check this out, in case you have to make a claim through the compensation scheme.;)

Just checked on Companies house and came across 2 Ocean Finance companies, here

    Name & Registered Office:
    OCEAN FINANCE LIMITED
    1-7 PARK ROAD
    CATERHAM
    SURREY
    CR3 5TB
    Company No. 05747567
    spacer.gifspacer.gifspacer.gifspacer.gifStatus: Dissolved 20/08/2008
    and

    Name & Registered Office:
    OCEAN FINANCE LIMITED
    PACIFIC HOUSE
    RELAY POINT
    TAMWORTH
    STAFFORDSHIRE
    B77 5PA
    Company No. 06980352

spacer.gifspacer.gifspacer.gifspacer.gifStatus: Active - Proposal to Strike off

If you have any paperwork from these, I think its worth checking the Company number as shown on both these companies, but meanwhile as well, contact the Financial compensation scheme, (FSCS) and ask if they have the business listed with them, if they have you can make a claim through them instead, by just completing a claim form.
    http://www.fscs.org.uk/contacts/

If you let us know, we shall take it from there.;)

Hi Di have just checked companies web site I can not see where it says "proposal to strike off" for Ocean Finance and mortgages. I'm interested because I have two claims with the FOS about them
