Havent emailed Di but wil see if I have an address on any paperwork. HFC are rubbish at getting back to you, it took them nearly 4 months to reply to my complaint and then only because the FOS wrote to them!

Cheers hun that would be cool, am going to send a hard copy as well, like I did with Hamilton, (thought I would email them as well, so they have this both ways).
Yes from what I do remember they are hard work.

I have finally got responses from lloyds regarding ppi for 3 loans I've had with them, 2 of these I had consolidated

    Loan 1

took out on 15/10/02 for £2000.
PPI was a one off premium of £518.62 plus interest.
They have said that when I settled this loan on 12/04/04 that I received a net rebate on the PPI for £319.67.

They are willing to offer me the difference of £69.37.

Does anybody know if this sounds right?

    Loan 2

took out loan on 12/01/04 for £5070.
PPI payment was a one off premium for £951.01 plus interest

Lloyds are not offering anything for this loan.

    Loan 3

took out loan on 03/10/07 for £5000
PPI was a one off premium of £1211.04 plus interest
they said I received a net rebate for £444.86.

They are offering me the difference of £249.41

Does anybody know if the figures they are offering me sound about right or do you think I am entitled to more.

I'm defo gonna refer loan number 2 to the ombudsman but not sure where I stand with the other two.

Any help/ advice would be much appreciated.

My husband and I received a letter from GE Money advising that our PPI was due to expire. I called them as we were unaware that we had taken out any PPI insurance, or what it was in connection with. They advised me that it was connected to a loan through a window company taken out in 2005 and that we had paid a single premium of 734.72 pounds. When we purchase our replacement windows we were persuaded by the salesman to take out a loan to benefit from a reduced price. He was aware that we had the money to pay in full, but explained how we could take out the loan and described the steps we needed to take in order to repay the loan as soon as possible without incurring interest or financial penalties. He did not mention a PPI and if he had we would not have taken one out, because we intended repaying the loan as soon as possible, which as far as I can remember was no longer than a couple of months. We were completely unware that we had paid for a PPI, we just wanted to purchase our windows at the lowest possible price. We followed his instructions and the loan was repaid in full within the shortest time frame allowed. I have drafted the template letter, but would be very grateful for opinions regarding the likelihood of getting a refund for this insurance. As I see it, we wouldn't have gained from policy should either of us have lost our jobs as there was no loan outstanding after a couple of months, it is unlikely that the window salesman was qualified to advise us on this financial matter, and if he was, would be found to have missold to us, even if he had explained things and we weren't aware we had paid for the insurance. Oh, and one other point that I intend raising with them is that they feature on the list of companies who have already been found to inappropriately sell PPIs to their customers. Sorry to all if I haven't added this post correctly, but I'm technically challenged!

Hello greefs who was the company who sold you the windows as this is who you will have to first complain to about the policy?

It was Anglian Windows, but the chap on GE Money customer service helpline told me he thought they were no longer trading, and he instructed me to write to GE Money instead because of this.

I have just today recieved a letter from HFC bank saying that they apologise that i am not happy with the service i recieved and that i am not happy with the ppi sold.

One thing that stood out for me they say all this with reference to only one account. I am claiming for 2 accounts. Should i write to them again or wait till i hear from them again.

    what do you all think?

If this was after 2005 and ge money are taking responsibility then you have a good chance of winning your claim.

    Hi there
I would call them and ask if they are sorting these out together or separately, they should confirm on how they are working these out for you, good luck and let us know what they say.;)
