i never thought of that ,i have old bank statments which i need to keep being self employed i'll go and check them now!thats great
Your welcome.;)
The account number should be found next to the monthly repayments, so long as you have this then you can continue to reclaim.
If anything they will then send a copy of your agreement back then with the first letter you receive back from them.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

'Hi
I have just recevied a letter from Egg saying that they are refunding me. I only wrote to them about 3 weeks ago!! However I would like the opinion of all you wise and experience people on here.
Egg dont seem to have actually admitted liability for misselling, but neither is good will mentioned anywhere. The letter says:
'After carrying out a full review of your complaint about your loan payment protection insurance (PPI), we have arranged for all premiums charged to your account to be refunded in full, together with the associated interest charges as follows:
PPI premium on loan: £656.15
Less PPI refund taken off loan (I settled early): £301.72
Refund of interest charged on PPI premium at contractual loan rate. £103.42
Total refund due: £457.86
They go on to say that a chq is in the post and they have resolved my complaint and therefore consider it closed but I can refer to the FOS if not happy etc...
What I would like someone to clarify... they havent added any extra interest that I asked for as I was deprived of the money. I understand that they dont *have* to do so, but if I went to the FOS I would probably get this, right?
I'm not trying to be greedy, its just the principle of the thing. However, I really could do with the money atm, and if I went to the FOS I would only get back another £50 quid or so, (I think) so is it really worth it?
I also dont know if I should bother cos of all the stress and hassle it will cause me (I have clinical depression and have just been diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome and irritable bowel syndrome!!)
What do you lovely people think?'
Hi.
I have one complaint upheld through the FOS with EGG which took 18 months, and 2 complaints i started last month which they have sent the same response that they have to you.
I have written back to them copying and pasting the calculations they need to provide for the FOS complaint saying that I want them to send me the breakdown in this format.
Personally I think they are trying to pay out so that you don't go through the FOS and they end up paying more.
I would say stick with it and write back. I can send my template if anyone wants it? I'm waiting on their response.
Good luck

Hi, looking for some advice before I start the ball rolling with a PPI claim on my loan.
I have an 86 month loan with AA Loans, which I took out in March 2006.
I am almost certain that I didn't tick the box for PPI ('AA Creditcare'?). I have the 'Customer Copy' of the original agreement that doesn't have my signature etc on.
Can I ask AA for a copy of the copy that I must have signed and sent to them? This would tell me for sure whether I ticked that box or not.
If it then turned out that I did tick the box (I'd be very surprised) then I would phrase my initial letter that it was 'mis-sold' instead. (which would be true)
Basically, I don't want to write to them adamant that I didn't tick, only to have them produce a document that says I did!
I can't imagine why I would have ticked, as I always opt out of things like that, my job has always been ridiculously stable so there'd be little point me having it!
It comes to over 5 grand on a 10 grand loan. I only realised I was paying PPI when I looked through my paperwork after reading Martin's newsletter.
Any advice welcome.0 -

Hi there
I would give it a go with your reasons, it is known the insurance was just automatically added, but below check the info and checklist that may also occur to you and write them in your letter.
http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/reclaim/ppi-loan-insurance
There is no harm in requesting for a copy of your agreement, enclose a £1 postal order or cheque payment for this and they should send by 12 days, post by recorded delivery.
Post back if you require help, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Response from Hamilton.....
Dear
I refer to your complaint email of 6 October 2009 which has been passed to our department to respond. I would explain that Hamilton Insurance is now part of Aviva.
I note that your policy was sold by Endeavour Personal Finance and that you have complained regarding the sale of your policy. I would advise that Endeavour Personal Finance are owned by HFC Bank and that HFC Bank are responsible for all of Endeavour's sales activities.
As such, your complaint is not one for Hamilton Insurance/Aviva to answer and I am faxing your correspondence to HFC Bank so that they can handle the matter. I trust that they will be in contact with you shortly. However should you need to contact them in the meanwhile, their details are as follows:
Central Complaints Team
HFC Bank
Camden House West
The Parade
Birmingham
B1 2XJ
Tel 0845 602 3793
Fax 0121 214 4088
Kind regards
