One of the emails received here, it was emailed to Hubby:

    Dear

    Thank you for your email.

I note that you have written to the underwriter. You may wish to await their response before returning the complaint form and relevant documentation. The file about Hamilton Insurers Ltd can then be submitted to the Financial Ombudsman Service in full. We will then be in a position to take the relevant action with the complaint.

Oh I see now. I wondered if they already had the complaint from last time and had not closed it anyway. I think you would have to set up a new one anyway for misselling although not certain. FOS will do their best on it and I bet yours and everyone elses is done and dusted before mine is even looked at. I feel a bit fed up of it today to tell you the truth.

There is more as well before that on his name, the one above is the one hubby forwarded to me from his email.

That one does not say a lot really, but must give it a shot, if it doesn't work then at least we have tried, time will tell now I suppose.;)

Also waiting for feedback from HFC as well, a general enquiry only though that one.
Have stacks of paperwork with HFC on.

Yes you may be right Marshallka we did give the ref number details on the email we originally sent to FOS.
I think it will be a tricky one again though TBH, and you have been waiting long enough......., it should be that they deal with yours now they already have yours there.
I'm not surprised if your fed up, it a very stressful situation to be in, not knowing if your coming or going and what is what with the complaint.

  • Hi,
I've been reading all the messages on here over the last few nights and I am now ready to start my PPI claims. There is so much good advice on here and loads of experts to hopefully someone can help me.

My first one is with M&S Credit Card. I've had this card since at least 2002 and now I look back on my statements I have been Paying PPI since then. My current balance is around £8,000 and I am currently paying £60 a month - can't believe I have been so stupid and let this carry on so long. At the very least I will cancel and be paying this amount off each month rather than giving it to them!

I can't remember how I applied for the account but I am absolutely certain that if it had been explained to me properly I would definitely have declined it. I have a very secure job and would receive full pay for 12 months in the event of illness, so why would I need PPI?

Sorry if I am asking the same questions as have been answered loads of times on here but do I start with Stage 1 template or SAR?

Hoping someone can help me, I am just starting out on this journey

Hi Miss Henny Penny - I succesfully reclaimed mis sold PPI for my friend - 2 weeks from start to finish with the template letter but as I had applied for it online on her behalf (she was there I did the typing) I knew I had opted out. Why don't you send the template letter on the reclaiming 1000's tab on this site & ask for a copy of the CCA to see if you agreed to this or not & then take it from there.
