PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Excellent, it's worth a go. I must have been tired last night as I didn't click on any of the sections that expand on the link you gave me
I have found the section I need in the template, so I will give them a call for the details of dates etc and send off the letter on Monday.
Thank you for being so nice and pointing me in the right direction. It must feel like your a traffic officer directing people to the same place, just a different street number every week!
lol, your very welcome, and not to worry, sometimes I miss links at times, it's probably because I quoted your post and wrote in between, so easily done and missed.;)
Yes for for it, it could be worth your while, keep at them, and ask for further help if required.
Fingers crossed for you, please keep us posted, cheers.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
Hi
I received all the p/work from Llyods TSB's SAR dept and, last week, posted a letter to the branch where my loans were taken out requesting a refund of the PPI. I used the template letter from this site and included my case which mainly centred around the sales advisor's incompentence, (cancelled all my D/D's and S/O's and cancelled my debit card when 'processing' my application), when going through the loan application and their obvious lack of financial knowledge training.
The letter was sent recorded delivery and I haven't heard anything back yet.
How long should I allow them to provide me with a response?0 -

Hi there,
As you know they have 8 weeks to respond in full, I think the first response we had was within the first 4 weeks to say they were investigating and that they will get back by a certain date.
If you hear nothing at all by 8 weeks, you can and entitled to take your case to the FOS.
Good luck, hope you hear soon and with good news.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi Sam and yes you can still reclaim on the PPI if mis sold, it makes no difference whatsoever, so if you have a case then go for it.
Check this link below for further information, and please post back for help if required, good luck.;)

Happy to be corrected if i am wrong but this is a copy of the email sent to me from the FOS
Thank you for your email.
From the information you have provided, it would appear that we cannot deal with your complaint because the business is not covered.
Having looked at the information you have supplied to me, it appears that your complaint against Firstplus Financial Group relates to events which occurred when it was not a member ofthe General Insurance Standards Council (GISC).
On the 14 January 2005, as a result of recent legislation, the Financial Ombudsman Service became responsible for looking into complaints against former members of GISC about events that occurred while the firm was a member of GISC.
I should explain that the firm was a member of GISC from 20 November 2001. I note the policy was sold to you in January 2000. The complaint therefore appears to outside our jurisdiction

Hello there
You need to write to Ocean Finance as they arranged and sold you the loan/PPI.
If you require further help please post up.;)

Oh yes of course silly me lol....missed that part, how I don't know.....:o.
Jo and Tim
As Marshallka says, contact The Financial compensation Scheme (FSCS) to ask if Ocean Finance are on their list, if so they should arrange to send you a form to complete through the post, sometimes they go through some details with you on the phone then tell you to email them to arrange for a form, but check with them first on this, good luck.
