PPI Reclaiming Discussion part 4

Hello, this is my first post. I’ve only recently started viewing this site but what a wonderful source of knowledge!
Can anybody help me with this particular PPI query?….
I have just cancelled a single premium PPI policy with Nat West after making 49 monthly repayments on an 84 month loan. I now intend to reclaim the full amount I have paid so far for this policy but in the interim I’m not sure what to expect in terms of any refunds I can expect following my cancellation – the advisor I saw at the bank didn’t seem to have much of an idea either.
I happen to know from the pre-contract information that was sent to me at the time of arranging the loan that £60.83 of my monthly loan repayment covers the cost of the PPI policy. I had naively anticipated that my monthly repayments would now be reduced by this amount but having read a lot of the information here I’m now not sure to expect.
I assume that I will hear from the bank shortly but is anyone here able to shed any light on what I can expect?
Many thanks, Joe
Hi Joe and welcome.;)
Basically on a loan still running, if successful then you reclaim all you have paid on the PPI, plus the interest.
For more information just to give you a little idea, check out the thread link here below originally posted by MAXDP

When you write to reclaim with your reasons, you do not need to write the actual amount, you do need to give them as much info as possible and the reasons for how you believe you were mis sold.
For more information check the link below, of Martin's, you will find useful reclaiming info, templates etc and a checklist of mis selling reasons:

Please do post back then if you require any help, good luck.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
It was so easy and no arguments. So I dont understand why Egg can't just do the same (with the same reasoning too). Ive been told by one guy at the FSA that they instruct Egg to put the money in my account. When I said I wanted the cash that came from MY purse given back and not lost in a black hole at Egg, etffectively just being an exercise in creative accounting for them (from one cost centre to another). I mean I dont have any arrears and its up to ME where best to put money that's MINE???? I have a different adjudicator now and if (as I hope he does) read my file properly, he will see I need the money given back to me. That's not to say some of it won't go in the Egg account if I choose to do that.
I said to the first guy that there's a precedent (if you like) if RBS volunteer this why can't Egg do what I want. "That's not what FSA Do, he said" "Im sorry, do you WORK for Egg then?" I asked.Hi there.
A job well done. Congratulations. Every little bit helps. :T :T:T:T
And I suppose its good to give credit where its due on both counts, excuse the pun.

I claimed PPI from A & L and that too was so easy. Took just under 3 weeks to get an offer of full amount in writing. There is no rhyme or reason to it all, they all act very differently and its obvious from this site that people are having varying responses with the same banks. Who knows why!!!!
Just keep at it. You will get there in the end. I am sure there will be some wise owls along at some point today who will be able to give you some more guidance.
Good luck and keep posting so we know how you are getting on.:D

Hi, can anyone help. Sorry if i'm in the wrong place, as i'm new to this.
Had a natwest credit card for several years but cancelled it approx 18 months ago. I am not sure if PPi was added to my payments, as i have not kept any statements, or other paperwork. Is it possible to request info. from Natwest regarding my creditcard, and if so where do i address my enquiry to.? (also do not know my credit card number).
Thanks in advance!!0 -

Hello and welcome.;)
Yes write to them and request for a True copy of your CCA agreement, enclose a £1 postal order or cheque payment, and tell them you look forward to receiving your request by 12 days and post by recorded delivery, this is your proof of posting.
If you do not have the account number handy to request for this CCA, then give them as many personal details as possible, to make it easier for them to track this down, like your date of birth, any different surname if different when you taken this out and address etc.;)
Have this address here:
Natwest
Registered Office
135 Bishopsgate
LONDON
EC2M 3UR
Good luck and meanwhile check this link here and when you receive your CCA check if PPI was added and this link will be a good help, but please post for help as well if required, good luck.

Hi All.
It's been a while, but the FOS have upheld my complaint to EGG and I obviously accepted their response. They sent a final letter last week stating that Egg have 4 weeks to contact me regarding the payment. All the mathematical bobbins in the letter is very confusing, can anyone help me when/if I get their calculations?
Any ideas how long it will be to actually get some money?
Thanks
