Hi beaniebabe
Never heard of that before. I am sure the first step is to write to you asking for an explanation- regarding the missed payments and giving you the opportunity to make some arrangements regarding this with them. I am sure they have overstepped the mark by calling on you unannounced.I would call the CAB for advise on this one.
xx
Thanks Bushbyh
Do you think its worth me contacting the FSCS to let them know. I too think they have overstepped the mark but am now worried what they will do next regarding the payment arrangement.0 -
Hi all I have just rung the FSCS again got the usual case with deloitte but it will still be a few months yet before it is dealt with I informed him we were supposed to be a priority which he said he would inform deloitte and it is likely to take another month or two. I just feel we are being fobbed off and they are telling us what we want to hear. I also phoned deloitte got an answer phone of an american woman still not phoned back. what are we supposed to do? all this waiting is bl...y stupid0

If the FOS found that MBNA had mis sold you this they would be asked to pay back from the start of the policy.
Thanks pinknico.
I haven't reached the stage of using the FOS as MNBA have offered me a part of the whole amount I am claiming. Unfortuantely like other posters I have read about on here, there is no makeup of the amount they are offering. If I disagree with their offers then obviously I will go to the FOS.
This is their second letter, first in March 2007 where trhey have stated that this is their final offer. Maybe I have them on the run.0 -

Yes, contact them, it is worth a go. Without worrying you, I do think you need to speak to someone regarding this.
Have you called Target Loans and discussed the visit with them.
They will probably contact you anyway to discuss the report the rep has made.
Good luck and keep us posted

Hi dialysis
I really hope we are not being fobbed off again:rolleyes:. I feel sure we are now on the up or am I being too optmistic;).
I was feelig quite low about it all yesterday, that was until I spoke to the lady at FSCS.She did actually give me some hope, more than anybody else I have spoken to in the past. She said they are making good progress.
I know it's hard but we have to somehow keep smiling:D:D:D:D:D
lol

So far this is the information so far from all our phone calls to Deloitte and FSCS:
Your claim is being processed then has to go back to the FSCS.
We still think some payments will be made this month.
It will still be a few months to process claims.
Cant give you a timescale.
We will contact you when you have a claim.
We are making good progress and moving forward.
Anyone else feel like banging their head on a brick wall?
There are definitely (sp) claims being looked at at the moment that were put in in August and September 2008 are these the ones that will be paid out soon or the ones that will take another 2 months or more?DS1 12/10/04
DS2 13/07/06
DD1 06/12/070 -

Just to update you guys on my claim against Alliance & Leicester for misselling me PPI on a 5.5k loan I took out:
I wrote to them using the template from this website in July and less than a week later the "Head of Complaints Operations" wrote to me saying that they would investigate my complaint. So I thought "oh yeah, here we go with a long wait before they tell me to shove off and I have to use template 2 and 3". So I settled in for a long wait ... and then they wrote to me just last week saying that they have not been able to establish whether I was provided with enough information to enable me to make in informed decision when the policy was taken out and they offered me over £1,700 as settlement! This also includes the 8% interest that I asked for using the template from this website.
So I have accepted the offer and am waiting for the cheque to arrive! :T
So a huge thank you to everyone on the forum that helped - particularly di3004 :A I never thought for a moment that inside 6 weeks, it's been sorted!
Cheers,
Rusty
:jHi Rusty
I think you should go for the mis selling then.
Yes its good enough, it was worthless to you if you could not make a claim, if they did not resolve this and you take this to the FOS, I'm sure they can see your side of it.
So give it a go, however do not back down if they try fobbing you off wiht a standard response that you must have been aware of it because you signed up for it, that is standard, you will more than likely have to move on to letter 2 or if they confirm the FOS, then move on to them.
Just keep on at them, good luck.;)0
